Enjoy a visit to Prospect Mountain with its spectacular 100 mile views, and view Battlefield Park, which was the actual site of several battles in the 18th century and inspiration for the James Fenimore Cooper s novel Last of the Mohicans. This afternoon, tour the Beaupre Coast along the Saint Lawrence River. Then, continue on to the Albert Gilles Copper Museum. Follow the Gilles family and be entranced by the art of repoussé, masterfully interpreted by the craftsman Albert Gilles whose talent served prestigious people like Pope Pius XII and Walt Disney. Boldt Castle Friday, October 6: Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica & Mount Royal After breakfast, depart with our local guide and enjoy a tour of this historic yet very cosmopolitan city! Highlights of the tour include Old Montreal, Montreal s Old Port and Place Ville Marie. We ll also visit Notre Dame Basilica and St. Joseph s Oratory on Mount Royal. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at one of Montreal s wonderful restaurants followed by an optional visit to the Casino de Montreal. (Breakfast, Dinner) Saturday, October 7: Thousand Islands Cruise & Boldt Castle Enjoy breakfast this morning before checking out and departing for Alexandria Bay, NY. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to grab lunch before we set sail on a narrated Two Nation sightseeing cruise through both American and Canadian waters. Some of the sites you will see include Millionaire s Row, the smallest international bridge at Zvikon Island, Lost Channel, Canadian Span of the 1000 Islands Bridge System, Devil s Oven, Artificial Island, and much more. Return from our cruise and board the shuttle for a 10 minute cruise to Heart Island where we ll disembark and enjoy a self-guided tour of magnificent Boldt Castle and its beautiful grounds. This 129 room replica of a Rhineland castle was built over the course of four years at the turn of the 19th century by entrepreneur George C. Boldt for his wife as a summer home.
