3 I. Overview Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida is a UWF Business Enterprises, Inc. (BEI) -owned facility. All individuals are subject to rules and regulations established by BEI. BEI reserves the right to change the membership fees, green fees and other charges at any time without prior notice. Neither BEI nor the University of West Florida is responsible for the personal property of golfers. Golf bags and other personal property should not be left unattended in the parking lot, near the clubhouse, or on the course. Failure to comply with rules and regulations will result in suspension of playing privileges. II. Definitions Alumni Graduates of the University of West Florida Business Enterprises, Inc - The Direct Support Organization that manages Scenic Hills Golf Course at the University of West Florida Club Refers to Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida Current Student A student currently registered at the University of West Florida Faculty/Staff Individuals currently employed at University of West Florida as faculty or staff members Junior - An individual 17 years of age or younger Management Refers to Business Enterprises, Inc Member - Any individual who holds a current membership to Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida Nautilus Card Official identification card of the University of West Florida Primary Member - The individual who purchased a Club Membership that covers more than one person Senior An individual who is 60 years of age or older

4 III. Access & Identification Scenic Hills Country Club at University of West Florida is a public golf course. Discounted rates are available for current students, faculty/staff, seniors/alumni, spouses and children (21 years of age or younger) of current students, faculty and staff. To qualify for discounted rates on daily green fees or memberships, appropriate identification must be presented. Students must present a current student Nautilus Card, Faculty/Staff members must present a current Faculty/Staff Nautilus card and Seniors (60 years of age or older) must present government issued identification showing proof of age. Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida will verify alumni status with the Alumni Relations department. Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida reserves the right to request additional information as proof of status as a current student, faculty/staff member, alumni member, senior, spouse, or dependent child. IV. Hours of Operation The Club is open for golf from Monday Thursday from 6:00AM 6:00PM* and Friday Sunday from 6:00AM 6:30PM.* The restaurant and bar are open from 11:00AM 5:00PM Monday Thursday and Saturday Sunday. The restaurant and bar are open from 11:00AM to 8:00PM on Fridays. Business Enterprises, Inc offers the golf course to charitable fundraising groups, amateur associations and others on throughout the year which may result in adjusted hours. Scenic Hills Country Club closes at 2pm on Christmas Day and New Year s Eve. *Golfing hours will be adjusted during the year due to Daylight Savings Time. Please verify hours by calling Scenic Hills Country Club at 850-476-0380 V. Special Rates A. Student Privileges Only currently registered University of West Florida undergraduate and graduate students with valid student Nautilus card are eligible to purchase a UWF Student Semester Pass. Semester Passes are valid for the current semester and expire at 6AM on the first day of the following semester. Example: The Fall Semester Pass is valid from the first day of class during the fall semester until the first day of classes during the spring semester. Students with a UWF Student Semester Pass are eligible for all member benefits listed in Section VI Benefits, Members with the exception of club charging privileges. Currently registered University of West Florida undergraduate and graduate students with valid student identification who are non-members will receive student rates on green fees. Non-Member Students are eligible for benefits listed Section VI Benefits, UWF Affiliated Non-Members and Seniors.

Faculty and Staff Privileges Only currently employed University of West Florida faculty/staff with appropriate identification (see Access and Identification for requirements) will receive the faculty/staff rate for membership and daily green fees. UWF Faculty/Staff may choose to use payroll deduction pay for their membership. Individuals who use payroll deduction will still receive a monthly statement showing Food & Beverage items and Pro Shop items that were charged to the membership. Faculty/Staff with a Faculty/Staff Membership are eligible for all member benefits listed in Section VI Benefits, Members. Non-Member currently employed University of West Florida faculty/staff are eligible for benefits listed in Section VI Benefits, UWF Affiliated Non- Members and Seniors. C. Alumni/Senior Privileges Only University of West Florida alumni with appropriate identification (see Access and Identification for requirements) will receive the alumni rate for membership and daily green fees. University of West Florida Alumni and Seniors with an Alumni or Senior Membership are eligible for all member benefits listed in Section VI Benefits, Members. Non-member UWF alumni and seniors are eligible for benefits listed in Section VI Benefits, UWF Affiliated Non- Members and Seniors.

6 VI. Benefits A. UWF Affiliated Non-Members and Seniors UWF affiliated non-members (students, faculty/staff, and alumni) and seniors are entitled to the following benefits. May Make Tee Times 7 Days in Advance Discount on Group Lessons and Junior Golf Clinics Discounted Rates for Accompanied Guests Member Only Tournaments and Events 5% Discount on Golf Shop Purchases 5% Discount on Food & Beverage Purchases VII. Tee time Reservations Members of the Club may reserve fourteen (14) days in advance beginning at 6:00AM. UWF Students, UWF Faculty/Staff, UWF Alumni and Seniors may reserve seven (7) days in advance beginning at 6:00AM. The Public may reserve a tee time four (4) days in advance beginning at 6:00AM. Alumni, Students, and Parents have priority use of the course for Homecoming, Commencement, and Alumni Reunions. Management reserves the right to refuse tee time reservations from other individuals during these times. VIII. Private Functions

8 A. Business Enterprises, Inc Functions Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida reserves the right to conduct private tournaments and other functions at the golf course from which Members may be excluded, specifically tournaments which may be held for the benefit of the University of West Florida. Business Enterprises, Inc. reserves the right to hold any event at any time as they see fit. B. Private Functions Anyone may reserve the facilities (clubhouse, pavilion, practice range, and golf course) of Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida for a private function with Management s approval or with the approval of any employee designated with such authority. All decorations, address systems, and entertainment for private functions must have the approval of Management. or other designated employees with such authority. IX. Course Regulations

9 The following Course Regulations are set forth to assure orderly and enjoyable play on the golf course. It is the duty of all players to familiarize themselves with these rules: All players must register at the Golf Pro Shop before starting play and must play from the first tee unless otherwise permitted by the General Manager. All golfers must have and use their own set of golf clubs and golf shoes on the golf course. Soft spikes are required. Keep pace with the group ahead of you. All players should play in a reasonable amount of time. Course Marshals will enforce the speed of play when necessary. Members who are unable to play in a reasonable amount of time may be required to tee off in the afternoon. Children 16 years of age and younger are not permitted on the course except when accompanied by an adult or as otherwise permitted by the General Manager. Use of a golf cart is generally not required; however the General Manager reserves the right to require the use of a cart at certain times, e.g. peak play periods, tournaments etc. Individuals will be required to show a valid driver s license in order to drive a golf cart on the course. Club golf carts must be returned to the Clubhouse upon completion of play and should never be driven into the parking lot. Golfers should always exercise caution when parking carts near lakes or waterways. Damages to any golf cart will be the responsibility of the individual to whom such cart is assigned; or the individual responsible for his guest. A maximum of two people are allowed to ride in a golf cart. There will be no practicing on any part of the golf course, except the practice range. Removal of range balls from the range is prohibited. Replace all divots and repair ball marks on the greens. Enter and leave bunkers at the lowest level point. Smooth sand bunkers over with rake upon leaving bunker. Avoid replaying putts and lingering on the greens. Scoring for the completed hole should be done at the next tee. Players must be allowed to play through when there is a clear hole ahead, or in case of delay caused by a lost ball, when the green ahead is clear. No group of golfers exceeding four players is permitted on the golf course except when approved by the General Manager. Players are forbidden to cut in from one hole to another. X. Daily Green Fees

10 Non-members are required to pay daily green fees if they wish to golf at Scenic Hills Country Club. Current daily green fees will be posted at www.scenichills.com or are available by calling the Club at 850-476-0380. XI. Membership A. Membership Policies Current students, faculty/staff, alumni, and seniors are able to purchase memberships at discounted rates as compared to the public rate for themselves or memberships that include their spouse and dependent children. Definitions for membership types are as follows: Social Any individual who wishes to play golf no more than three times a month. Junior An individual 17 years of age or younger Military (Single) Active duty or retired military member with ID Military and Family Active duty or retired military member with ID, his or her spouse, and dependent children. Student A current University of West Florida student with ID Faculty/Staff (Single) A University of West Florida Faculty/Staff Member with ID Faculty/Staff and Family- A University of West Florida Faculty/Staff member with ID, his or her spouse, and dependent children Alumni/Senior (Single) University of West Florida Alumni with ID or Senior (60 years of age or older) with ID Alumni/Senior and Family University of West Florida Alumni with ID or Senior (60 years of age or older) with ID, his or her spouse, and dependent children Public (Single) A member of the general public Public and Family Membership - includes member of the public, his or her spouse, and dependent children Spouses and children (16 years of age or older) covered under a family membership mentioned above may play unaccompanied. Children under 16 years of age must have a parent present. Golfing privileges at Scenic Hills Golf Course are continued for the surviving spouse and children if the surviving spouse or children were using such golfing privileges at the time of the

11 family member s death, and provided that the spouse/children shall continue to renew the membership. B. Membership Rates Membership rates will be posted at www.scenichills.com or are available by calling the Club at 850-476-0380. C. Suspension and Termination Management shall have the absolute right, in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Membership of any Member(s), whenever: a) Any Member is delinquent in payment of any obligation owing to Scenic Hills at the University of West Florida b) Any Member, his or her guests or family violate the Rules and Regulations governing use of the facility. c) For any other reason deemed appropriate by Management Upon request of Management, any Member whose Membership is terminated or suspended shall forthwith peacefully leave Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida. Any Member whose Membership is suspended or terminated will have no rights whatsoever to reenter the property of Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida, for any reason, including, but not limited to, as a guest of any active Member and any re-entry on to Scenic Hills at the University of West Florida s property by such Member shall constitute an intentional and unlawful trespass. Suspension of Membership shall be for such a period of time as Management may designate, and Management may establish any such requirements as it determines as conditions precedent to reinstatement of any Membership. During any suspension, the Member shall remain liable for all dues, fees, taxes, purchases, charges and any other monies due and payable to Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida until such a time as the Membership is reinstated. XII. Service Dogs Dogs are not allowed at Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida with the exception of service dogs on leashes.

12 XIII. Player Responsibilities A. Course and Turf Maintenance Players are required to replace divots, rake bunkers, and repair ball marks to help maintain the condition of the course. It is the player's responsibility to make repairs. All players must respect signs directing foot and cart traffic on the course. After raking a bunker, the rake is to be placed inside the bunker. Privately owned powered single-bag carts are permitted on the course provided rules and marked areas are observed. B. Safety In order to avoid possible accidents, the speed of automobiles on the road approaching the golf course and in the parking lot is limited to ten (10) miles per hour. All automobiles must be parked in designated parking spaces. C. Lockers Clubhouse lockers are made available to Members of the Golf Course for a fee. Rates, information and rules regarding rental are available in the golf shop. Primary Members may share lockers with other individuals on the same membership. No other locker sharing is permitted. D. Golf Carts, Pull Carts & Club Rental Golf carts, non-motorized pull carts and golf clubs are available for rental. The maximum number of riders per golf cart is two. Golf carts and pull carts are not permitted in the clubhouse. E. Dress Code Appropriate golf attire including shirts, slacks, shorts, skirts or dresses must be worn at all times. Shirts with a collar, mock neck, or turtle neck are preferred. Golf shoes (soft spikes only), tennis shoes or golf sandals are required. Sandals other than golf sandals are not allowed. Bare feet are not allowed. XIV. Liability Business Enterprises, Inc. assumes no liability for any injury or damage or occurrence, act or omission occurring on the golf course or any areas of the golf course premises. Individuals use the facilities at their own risk.
