ASSET INVENTORY [ Version 2.0 ] OPAL Associates Holding AG Your AutoID System Integrator ASSET INVENTORY SOLUTIONS FOR PROFESSIONALS The asset inventory with integration into SAP includes a simple and standardized solution with sophisticated details and support you in a simple and fast way in the activities of asset inventory.

Compressive Solution No time-consuming effort with a lot of paper, faulty and work-intensive post-processing thanks to the Asset Inventory solution of OPAL. Asset Inventory Solution Solution Performing an asset stock take is a time-consuming effort involving lots of paperwork. Extensive lists are usually distributed to the cost centres, which are then processed manually, usually with mistakes, and then returned. After that, a labour-intensive processing in SAP ensues. OPAL has taken on this topic and developed a simple, standard solution with fine details, which is used by a large number of well-known companies and state organisations successfully today. With the SAP Asset Stocktaking programme (ZAAINVENTUR) in OPAL s own SAP namespace, we support you with stocktaking activities in a simple and fast way: Creation and online upload of inventory lists Mobile recording of inventory data Processing the inventory response Processing the incorrect data in the work-in-process queue Printing labels directly from SAP Inventory report of the assets to be included Inventory Lists Inventory lists are generated in order to provide employees an optimised list of all assets stored in SAP and/or to load onto the mobile device. This functions both online or via a text file. Selecting company code, asset class, cost centre, room, location and assets limits the scope of the list accordingly.

You can print the generated list directly or export it to the Microsoft Excel format for distribution to employees or cost centres and further process it there, for example. It is possible to load the inventory data to the mobile device via the online interface or via a conventional spreadsheet file. SAP Web Service Inventory Lists Upload Dataexport For unique and lasting marking of your assets, asset labels or inventory labels are printed directly from SAP on a label printer (OPAL OD5+). It is possible to reprint or print new asset labels based on your selection, for example, when new assets are acquired or when the labels on an asset are damaged. The scope of delivery inculdes a text object for the printer OPAL OD5+ as well as labels in a standard format. The label can be adapted with a minimum of effort. Asset Labels

Asset Labels The mobile Application The employee logs their personnel number into the mobile device and then selects the respective function from the menu.

The inventory dialog can be dynamically adapted to suit the way you work. In this way for example, a company code can be contained in the barcode of the asset, meaning that it does not have to be recorded. You can fade the fields in the dialog in or out, or fill them with standard default values. Inventory The assets for stocktaking and any deviations are recorded with the mobile device in the individual locations, cost centres, rooms. Assets without a label can be marked with pre-printed inventory labels and then recorded, for example. A retried asset can be recorded by scanning the asset label and saving the retirement with the respective reason. Relocations can be recorded on the mobile device in the same way. Entries recorded on the device can be viewed as required and are sorted. Local conditions cover all local print parameters that have been determined not global. Primarily local conditions can be used for the determination of the desired layout. Retirements and Relocations

The inventory data gathered are saved on the mobile device and issued a time stamp. Simply place the device in the docking station to upload the data to SAP. The data are deposited in file form in the location you defined. An alternative is to enter the data directly via an SAP web service. Erroneous entries are written to the work-inprocess queue and have to be reworked. Inventory Response File Upload For control purposes, you receive an overview of all the data you uploaded in the response monitor. The erroneous data are written to the work-in-process queue. The correctly entered data are marked with a green traffic light. Rework in the Work-inprocess Queue The erroneous data can be reworked by invoking Edit Work-in-process Queue by moving directly to the FI-AA master record of the respective asset, either in display or edit mode. Individual records can be corrected and booked directly here. Newly found assets can now be searched or created in the master data. In so doing, the asset inventory number recorded by the person counting is entered in the Inventory number field. A unique identification of the asset is ensured in this way. Assets for which a retirement has been recorded can not be cancelled from the books directly for financial accounting reasons. These data are thus in the work-in-process queue also. You can clear the necessary information with the person responsible for the cost centre and then cancel the asset manually.

At a glance, you see the assets which have not been included in a stock take, or for which not all of the data have been recorded. Report OPAL provides a complete package including installation and training. The hardware as well as the label layouts can be edited by agreement. Asset Stocktaking SAP programme Asset Stocktaking MDE programme 1 roll of asset labels (1260 labels) 1 mobile data recording device 1 label printer (OPAL OD5) Installation and training Scope of Delivery The requirements listed here are critical for the functionality of the asset stock take.
