Internship Placement Process All students required to complete an Internship for credit 120 total hours 15 Weeks (Average 10 hours week) Internship must be related to academic major Project Based Option with Program Chair Approval Career Counselors work one-on-one with students Search based on location, academic major and career direction Some barriers include language skills, financial hardship, lack of transportation High volume demands steady supply of internship sites Typically 120-150 students assigned per term
Job Placement Process All Berkeley Students have assigned Career Counselor (by major) Same students worked with for Internship Placement Build relationship/trust with student to identify Hot Buttons Focus on graduates needs Location, Wish List, Top Companies Students need to be placed within 180 days from graduation Students graduate each quarter Collect and verify employment information 90% placement goal for each quarter Decline Process Heath, Grad School, No Contact, International, Military Service Lifetime Career Assistance One year or more after graduation graduate works with Alumni Career Services Team
