RE: 2015 Scholastic National Chess Tournament Dear parent of a Hinsdale Central Chess Team member, April gth to 13th marks the fourth opportunity for the HC Chess Team to compete at the national level. With the success we've had at the IHSA state tournaments; I expect amazing results this year. This event was a wonderful experience in 2011, 2012, and 2013 producing National Championships for the Unrated team and an individual National Champion from Hinsdale Central in 2011. I've attached an itinerary, estimated costs, and some websites you may want to access beforehand. The costs for this year's trip should be under $300, which includes food and hotel stay for four nights. Please take a look and seriously consider attending this year's trip to Nationals. It was a great experience for all those involved in previous years and reignited a love for competitive chess in many of the players. The players will miss 3 days of school, Thursday (travel), Friday (competition) and Monday (travel). No one will be denied the opportunity to attend due to inability to pay, feel free to contact me or Coach Jazak with any questions. Looking forward to hearing back from you!
