Nation ranking for composition of two groups: The nation ranking according to the results of the Seniors European Championships 2006 in Luxembourg is calculated as follows teamrank ladies and men counts each 5 nation points teamrank 3 points rank 2 points 4. rank 1 point Points of ladies and men of each nation are added together. Between nations with identical points will be done a draw. Composition of two groups: The teams are divided into two groups as follows best + fourth ranked nation: team 1 in group A, team 2 of these nations in group B, team 3 of these nations in group A second + third ranked nation: team 1 in group B, team 2 of these nations in group A and team 3 of these nations in group B For remaining nations will be done a draw; two teams of the same nation are divided to the two groups. Qualification rounds: The number of rounds depends on the playing time, which is fixed from Saturday am to pm and Sunday am to 100 am Maximum 6 rounds at Saturday. In case of slower playing interruption at pm and shot gun start at Sunday Defenitely end of qualification-rounds: Sunday, 100 am. 2

3 Scoring qualification rounds inside the two groups: Per round and 4-players-team the result is added. After each round the teams get points. For each victory against any other team in the group a team gets 2 points For each equal score a team gets 1 point For each lost game a team gets 0 point If teams have same number of total points at the end of qualification rounds the better total score will decide about the ranking. MODE CONTINUED: Qualification for the semifinals / finals: From each group there are qualified the first 2 teams for the semifinals, the teams ranked 3 and 4 continue with the games for rank 5-8. Semifinals: winner group A 2 nd group B 2 nd group A winner group B game for rank 3: looser semifinal 1 looser semifinal 2 final: winner semifinal 1 winner semifinal 2 Matches for rank 5-8: game 1 3 rd group A 4 th group B game 2 4 th group A 3 rd group B match rank 7 looser game 1 looser game 2 match rank 5 winner game 1 winner game 2 Mode of matches for rank 5 8, semifinals and finals: The finals are played as cup-system of the teams. Composition of the playing-groups: team 1 player 1 - team 2 player 1 team 2 player 2 - team 1 player 2 team 1 player 3 - team 2 player 3 team 2 player 4 - team 1 player 4 After 18 lanes the order inside each playing group is changed Winner is the team with the lowest total score after 36 lanes. Necessary teams throw-off: right after the end of each match at the next lane of the course last played. RANKING IN CASE OF BREAK-OFF: If the tournament has to be finally interrupted contrary to the invitation the ranking will be done as follows Case 1: final interruption during qualification rounds Team ranking from 1-4: From each group the two teams with actual highest points, ranked according to their shots of double rounds, which are completed from all teams (reason for example: in groups with different numbers of teams (i.e. 7 and 8 teams the teams can win different numbers of points.) Team ranking fomr 5-8: analogous rank 1-4 The other rankings are done as follows: All teams from rank 5 down in each group will put in one pot and ranked according to their total shots of double rounds, which are completed from all teams. 3

4 Case 2: final interruption during semifinals Interruption before all teams could finish the first 18 lanes The 4 teams will be ranked according preliminary rounds, worst ranking for each of these teams is rank 4. (analogous rank 5 8) Interruption, when all teams have finished 18 lanes Ranking according to the result of the the first 18 lanes of the semifinal (analogous rank 5 8) Case 3: final interruption after semi finals Winner is that winner of the two semifinals, who had the lower score at semifinal. Rank 3, 5 and 7 will be done analogous. Case 4: final interruption during final There will be counted all lanes, played from both players in a playing-group. For delayed registrations the participation fee is 125% of the fees above. ACCOMMODATION: see hompage > The official sport rules of the WMF including supplementary rules and implementing regulations are applicable to the Seniors Nations Cup. In particular, please note the regulations for the Nations Cup of WMF/EMF. Each participant must accept the WADA-code and the anti doping guideline of WMF in the current version.
