THE PORT OF NY AND NJ DELIVERING GROWTH: A Record Year In 2015 The port captured 15.8% of the total U.S. market share Terminals handled 6.4 million TEUS, with loaded containers split between 2/3 imports and 1/3 exports Cargo handled by Expressrail, our ship to rail system had a record year with over 520,000 lifts up 12.2%. The Port of NY and NJ exceeded its 2015 volume record by more than 10%

THE PORT OF NY AND NJ DELIVERING INVESTMENTS: Ensuring Tomorrow s Success $1.3 billion to raise the roadway of the Bayonne Bridge $2.3 billion to deepen the shipping channel to 50 feet $1.5 billion to build a new Goethals Bridge Construct a 4 th on-dock rail facility Widening, realigning, and updating port roadways Our 10-year agency wide capital campaign, begun in 2014, will invest $27.6 billion for our transportation infrastructure.

THE PORT OF NY AND NJ DELIVERING INVESTMENTS: Private Investment in Ensuring Tomorrow s Success Terminal Operators have invested approximately $2 billion in terminal improvements in the past decade. In the next five years (2016-2020), they will invest nearly $1 billion more on: Terminal Handling Equipment Super Post Panamax Cranes Modernizing Gate Systems Berth and Yard Improvements These public and private investments will ensure the Port of NY/NJ remains a premier center for global trade for decades to come.

New York Shipping Association (NYSA) is a non-profit organization whose members are the ocean carriers and terminal operators who do business in the Port of New York and New Jersey. We also have associate members who provide certain services in the port like security guards, container repairs or auto processing.
