3 ABOUT US : HISTORY The business has evolved from being an agent for many leading operators such as Railfreight and UBC to becoming an intermodal container operator as a Shareholder in Geest Ireland in partnership with Geest North Sea Line, operating own feeder vessels and operating its own state of the art port facility at Ellesmere Port in Merseyside, UK QFG founded and is principal Shareholder in Bulk Logistic Solutions, the leading carrier of bulk foods, within the EU. Quality Freight continued its involvement in European Intermodal container operations by investing in Ge-eX Logistics. (See Ge-eX Logistics). 7 The Ship Canal Barge Schedule and Itinerary:- The barge runs daily from Liverpool s Royal Seaforth Container Terminal on the River Mersey entering the Manchester Ship Canal where it now calls at Ellesmere Port on its way up to Manchester. Ellesmere Port is optimum discharge point for traders and businesses accessed via the main regional Motorway corridors: M53 (South Wirral and North Wales), M56 (Cheshire and South Manchester), M6 (North Staffordshire and the South). The barge returns to Liverpool each afternoon again calling Ellesmere Port with and for export containers emanating from the same catchments.
