The two buildings share a lobby, and each floor contains two bathrooms and a shared lounge area. The 36,000 square foot structure filled a critical need for student housing at the College. Construction was underway at DeLuxe s manufacturing facility in May 2006, and the finished modular units were set onsite with a crane in November. DeLuxe s modular construction method enabled the college to house new students for the fall semester, ultimately generating income for the school much sooner than conventional construction would have. Taylor Hall at Muhlenberg College Faced with only a few short months to get new students into on-campus housing, Muhlenberg approached DeLuxe in February. The college was without a design for the new student housing residence, but DeLuxe was able to coordinate quickly and efficiently with project architects and engineers and began assembling the modular units in their manufacturing facility by April. DeLuxe s quick response time enabled the school to receive a certificate of occupancy for the new dorm by September 17th. The 25,920 square foot dorm offers suite style rooms with bathrooms to students. Each suite contains its own air handling system, with a central boiler system. The residence hall also features high quality tile, solid birch doors and an elevator. Student lounges are located on each floor, and the building s basement contains additional classrooms and a television studio. DeLuxe s modular construction of the residence hall enabled the college to house 113 new students for the fall semester, ultimately generating income for the school much sooner than conventional construction would have. Haines Hall Eastern University St. Davids, PA Haines Hall at Eastern University, in St. Davids, PA was built as a 12,000 square foot expansion to an existing dormitory. Faced with a short period of time in which to house students, the school turned to DeLuxe Building Systems, Inc. to fulfill their student housing needs. Total Sq. Feet: 12,288 Buildings: 1 Living Units: 48 Modular Units: 22 Stories: 3 Owner: Eastern University Project Completed: 1999 Systems-built construction enabled close control of many aspects of the project. In addition, the project s modular character enabled it to be completed more quickly than would have been possible using conventional stick-built methods. The modular units were built in DeLuxe s controlled manufacturing facility, and were constructed in less than half the time conventional construction would have required, ultimately generating revenue sooner for Eastern University.

Dutchess Community College e Conklin Hall Poughkeepsie, e e NY Deluxe built Conklin Hall as part of the team with Kirchhoff Consigli Construction Managers. This 136,000 Square foot, 465 Bed, Suite Style - Residence Hall was completed one year from the ground breaking using Deluxe s modular construction system. DCC was the first community college in the state of New York to build its own residence hall. With the ever increasing student body on community college campuses it will be evident that many Facilities Directors and School Foundations will be looking for a way to build quickly, while minimizing disruption on the campus and maintaining safety and security for the existing students.
