"GRANITIC PEGMATITES: THE STATE OF THE ART" Porto (Portugal), May 6-12, 2007 Organized by University of Porto, Porto, Portugal University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain LMTG, Observatoire Midi Pyrénées, Universite Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France University of Liége, Liége, Belgium (2 nd circular) TOPICS AND PRESENTATIONS: Presentations (oral and poster) are welcomed on all aspects concerning Pegmatites and their Petrogenesis, especially those related with the following topics: - Crystallization processes in granitic pegmatites. - Zonation in pegmatites: from the internal zonation in individual pegmatitic bodies to zoned pegmatitic fields. - Study methodologies: isotopic datation, fluid inclusions, chemical analyses, experimental methods, etc. - Mineralogy of pegmatites: mineral associations and their petrogenetic significance. - Relationships between pegmatites and igneous and metamorphic rocks: source of pegmatitic melts. PRESENTATIONS Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, unless otherwise indicated. Digital projection facilities will be available, in addition to overhead 1
projection, and 35mm slide projection facilities. All presentations will be in English. Poster presentations are also accepted. Poster size is A0 (height: 120cm; width: 90cm). Authors must be at their poster site for the scheduled explanation and discussion times. You must decide if you prefer an oral or poster presentation. Field trip fee includes field book, transportation, hotel and all meals during our stay in the field. IMPORTANT: field trip is limited to 30 participants. Cancellations: Between April 1 st and 15 of April 2007 a processing fee of 25.00 will be deducted from the registration fee paid. A written notification of cancellation must be sent via email to peg2007@fc.up.pt. After 15 April 2007, requests for refunds cannot be honoured. 2

This date is the final day to pay the normal fee to your inscription. After this date you ll have a 20% charge added to the normal price. Abstracts of accepted papers will be published and printed in the Workshop Abstracts Volume. Some selected papers from the Symposium Abstract Volume will be published in the European Journal of Mineralogy.
