The objective of IBEC 2016 is to provide a forum for intellectual discussion among scholars and practitioners. We seek to provide a platform to analyze the strategic challenges faced by firms, educators, governments, and other institutions in the global arena. For details on topics for IBEC 2016, please refer to page 3.

2 SUBMISSIONS WILL BE PEER REVIEWED, ACCEPTANCE BEING BASED ON QUALITY AND RELEVANCE. CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS WILL BE PUBLISHED ONLINE IN SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH NETWORK. Refereed Submissions Guidelines You are invited to submit either an Extended Abstract or a Completed Manuscript of research papers or teaching case studies for presentation at the conference. Extended abstracts: A submission should explicitly contain: 1. Background & Problem Statement; 2. Objectives; 3. Methods / Procedures; and 4. [Expected or Preliminary] Results (reference section should be included). Extended abstracts with no more than 3 pages are preferred. Complete papers: No specific structure is required for complete papers. We strongly recommend complete papers not to exceed 12 pages (Tables and Figures included). Formatting guidelines for either extended abstracts or complete papers are provided on the conference website. Proposals should be written in English. Submissions will be peer reviewed, acceptance being based on quality and relevance. Decision notifications will be sent to authors by August 31 st (for early submissions) and October 15 th (for regular submissions). Authors of accepted proposals will have up to 30 minutes (Q&A included) to present their topic in the conference. Graduate students are encouraged to submit their research work. Theses or dissertations will NOT be accepted as submissions, though papers / manuscripts / studies based upon dissertations which are now being prepared for submissions to peer reviewed journals will be considered. Students should submit their work either as an extended abstract or a complete paper. A special discount applies for students (refer to conference fee structure). If you do not hear from IBEC after two days, contact the editor-in-chief or any of the editors. Conference Proceedings in Social Science Research Network Accepted papers and cases presented in the conference will be published online, at the discretion of authors, in the Social Science Research Network [Conference proceedings with the U.S. Library of Congress, ISSN ]. Proceedings will be published after the conference. Authors retain copyright of their works. Papers presented in Bangkok (IBEC 2015) are posted in [Research network: Management / Conference and Meetings].

3 Awards Best paper awards will be given to competitive papers upon the recommendation of Editors. Around five best paper awards best in several disciplines are given every year. Outstanding Award Papers may be considered for publication in a journal. Award papers from IBEC China 2014 were published in the Journal of International Business and Economy (JIBE) ISSN Vol 15(1) Summer JIBE is published by San Francisco State University and The Institute for Industrial Policy Studies. Award papers from IBEC Bangkok 2015 are under review for possible publication in Contaduría y Administración (C&A), -y-administracion/ ISSN C&A is published by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Elsevier. The decision to publish best award papers in any journal is made by the Editors of the corresponding journals after reviewing the quality of manuscripts. BEST PAPER AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO COMPETITIVE PAPERS UPON THE RECOMMENDATION OF EDITORS. Topics IBEC 2016 encourages, but does not limit, submissions related to the cross-discipline theme of Sustainability in Business and Economics. The topics for IBEC include, but are not limited to: international business environment, marketing strategies, international strategy, import/export management, world markets and global competition, organizational behavior management, management philosophy, health management issues, human resources strategies, management of education, expatriate management, business education, international entry strategies, transfer of technology / knowledge, cross-cultural consumer behavior, international logistics, information systems, operations management, international finance, international accounting, intercultural management, trade policy, and FDI policy. Both, practitioners and scholars, are encouraged to submit company case studies. Conference Venue and Hotels The conference venue is the Congress Center K3N and the University Building KII at Nürtingen-Geislingen University, both located in the city center of Nürtingen, Stuttgart Metropolitan Region, Germany. Hotels in Nürtingen with special university rates for IBEC participants: Best Western Hotel am Schlossberg: A four star rated hotel, located across the street from the university. 4 IBEC 2010, Prague Conference Fees Structure A Paper-Presenting Professional or Academician: USD 350. A Paper-Presenting Student: USD 200. A "Guest" Participant or Observer sponsored by Presenting Author: USD 100. An "Observer" not sponsored by a presenting author: USD 285. These fees will cover the conference welcoming reception, lunch, dinner and cultural activity. Conference fees can be paid online by credit card only after an acceptance notification has been received by authors. Details of Activities & Relevant Dates Jan. 6, 2016: Registration at Nürtingen-Geislingen University starting at 3:30 PM. Campus / city tour (4 PM), and Cocktail Reception at 6 PM. Jan. 7 & 8, 2016: All day presentations, coffee breaks, lunch, dinner and cultural activity. Jan. 9, 2016: IBEC 2017 mid-morning planning committee meeting & organized tour. Organized tour (January 9th) may include a visit to the Museums in Stuttgart city center and other activities. These activities are optional and will include extra cost for participants.
