The Cannnade FSI Carbn 2 is a perfect example f a crss-cuntry race bike that rips dwn hill just as fast at it ges up. With a handful f rides under ur belts thus far, we have quickly learned that the FSI is all business.
It was easy t see that Cannndale tk their time with the FSI. Everything is built arund efficiency and nt accepting any cmprmise n the trail. The slacked ut head angle and 55 millimeter ffset n the 100mm travel Lefty PBR ffer a lt f cnfidence while descending, while the light, stiff Hi-Md frame allw fr mre efficient climbing.
The Carbn 2 has an X01 build kit with a 32t ring up frnt. Cannndale uses a cuple f their in huse accessries fr the build such as a carbn flat bar, carbn SAVE seatpst, Fabric saddle, and f curse Si cranks. Up frnt ding the stpping is a set f Magura MT6 brakes. With Stan s rims wrapped in Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29 2.1 tires, this build is ready fr any crss-cuntry race. S far we have enjyed sme lng days in the saddle and are anxius t see hw much the FSI can handle. Technlgies ASYMMETRIC INTEGRATION (Ai) DRIVETRAIN Our Ai design shifts the drivetrain and rear triangle t the right by 6mm. This creates an ultra stiff rear wheel by reducing dish, and delivers the shrtest chainstays n the market, dual chainring cmpatibility, tns f mud clearance, and a super respnsive rear end. STIFFER REAR WHEEL By keeping the rim and tire in line with the centerline f the bike, but shifting the hub and cgs 6mm t the right, we make the spke angles mre even n bth sides, creating a strnger wheel that s up t 60% stiffer than a cnventinally laced wheel, while using a standard rim and nrmal 135mm hub. SHORTEST CHAINSTAYS The Ai system allws fr the shrtest chainstays n the market (429mm), which mves the rear wheel frward t be mre under the rider, resulting in exceptinal lateral stifness and racewinning tractin.
Ai HOLLOWGRAM SPIDER The F-Si spider mves the chainrings ut 6mm t match the rear triangle with n change in Q-factr. This enables the super shrt chainstays while prviding ample mud clearance fr the tire and maintaining duble and single ring cmpatibility. SYSTEM 29 GEOMETRY Up frnt, the prgressively slack 69.5 head angle gives the stability needed t attack n rugh, fast descents, while the Lefty s prprietary 29 er-specific 55mm frk ffset reduces trail keeping the steering quick and nimble in slwer, tight, technical sectins. In back, the super shrt chainstays make the bike extremely agile fr technical manuverability and crazy tractin. SPEED SAVE MICRO-SUSPENSION By pairing precise tube shapes with sphisticated carbn lay up, we are able t create areas n the rear chainstays and seat stays and seatpst that can deflect t absrb shck, while staying cmpletely rigid laterally and trsinally. This enhanced vertical cmpliance greatly imprves rider cmfrt and rear wheel tractin, s yu can ride faster, lnger. SAVE 2 SEATPOST The all-new SAVE seatpst has been redesigned t save almst 50 grams and deliver 20% mre deflectin. It has a mre linear deflectin curve, which means mre cmfrt, especially fr lighter riders, while maintaining strength fr max lads.
