THE ALABAMA LECC COMMITTEES FOR THE Southern Middle Northern Districts of Alabama PRESENT THE 25 th ANNUAL STATEWIDE LECC CONFERENCE August 29 August 31, 2012 Perdido Beach Resort 27200 Perdido Beach Boulevard Orange Beach, Alabama Hosted by the LECC Middle District of Alabama
The Alabama LECC Committees Southern Middle Northern Districts of Alabama Date: June 11, 2012 To: From: Subject: All Members of the Alabama Criminal Justice System Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee, Middle District of Alabama 25 th Annual Alabama Statewide LECC Conference Perdido Beach Resort, Orange Beach, Alabama August 29 August 31, 2012 On the behalf of the Alabama Law Enforcement Coordinating Committees (LECC) for the Northern, Middle and Southern District of Alabama, it is our pleasure to invite you to register to participate in the 25 th Annual Alabama Statewide LECC Conference! As you know, the LECC was established in 1981 in all of the 94 U.S. Attorney's Offices by order of the U.S. Attorney General to provide a networking focus for law enforcement agencies committed to the ideal of cooperation and coordination at all levels of local, state and federal law enforcement. We are very excited that this year s conference trainings are concentrated on the essential law enforcement techniques and tools related to Gang Investigations and Social Media. Our line-up will include trainings by Det. Wayne Caffey of the Los Angeles (CA) Police Department, Christine Gribble, Program Analyst with ATF & E, and Brian Regli, CEO of Drakontas Corporation. More details on the agenda are included in this packet. Speaker bios will be posted on AlaCOP.gov as the agenda is finalized. Due to unforeseen changes and complications with the planning of governmental conferences, this year we must have 110 individuals registered to attend the conference by JULY 11 th or the conference may be cancelled. It is our hope that we will not have to cancel the conference, as this would greatly affect our mission to facilitate and promote coordination, communication and cooperation among federal, state and local law enforcement agencies throughout Alabama by providing resources, information, training and technical assistance. In the event of a cancellation, all registration payments received by July 11 th (less PayPal fees if paid by credit card) will be refunded. We hope that you will make your plans now to register for, and attend, this conference. Details on the registration process and how to make your overnight room reservations are included in this packet. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Tracy Townsend or Lori Westphal, who are assisting the LECC Committees, at 334-517-2600.
