From your PC, please access it by opening up an Internet Explorer browser window and type in this URL: https://view.metrogr.org. This is a know issue. Please Click on the Continue to this website selection. Click Yes on the next security warning window.

(these instructions come directly from Vmware). Also, at this point, some users see a yellow action bar towards the top of their IE browser window. Please click on it to continue the installation.
Select Run to begin the installation. Click Next.

The installation is now complete. Click Finish. Here is the system restart window. Click Yes.
After your computer restarts, you will see an icon that looks like this on your desktop. Double click on this icon to start up your new backend computer session. In this scree, please enter view.metrogr.org as the Connection Server.
This is the initial VMware View client login screen. Enter your network Username and Password and click Login, or press Enter. Domain MUST BE METROAD. If it is not, please click on the and select it. Make sure this is selected. This must be blue Users are then presented with the Pool selection screen. Pressing Enter or the Connect button will start the connection to the selected workstation Pool. No other selections need to be made at this time.
After logging in users will experience a brief delay at a blank screen while Windows starts up. Then this window will then display that the login process is continuing. The next window to display is for the Profile Unity software. Profile Unity will store personalized settings for users upon logout. It is an essential piece of the puzzle and helps make the process of getting a new workstation as seamless as possible.
Once everything loads, you will be presented with the familiar Windows XP desktop you are used to using. When starting an application, you no longer need to install it first. All applications use a new technology to load and run them on your session. Please call your IT Analyst if you have any issues with an application loading incorrectly. If you do not know your IT Analyst, please call the Service Desk at x7378. The connection bar is now black. It works the same way as the current connection bar. To disconnect from your session, click on the X (circled). The connection bar has several drop down menus. For now, please do not make any changes. In the future, we will send out instructions on how to use some of the options, like USB device management.
