INFORMATION PACKET Great News, we were able to upgrade our camp ground and get a better facility Cabins. However, you can bring your own tent, if you want to get real camp experience. Schedule: Friday, June 6, 2014 Departure: IA we will depart from the Muslim Unity Center @ 3:00 P.M after Jummuah Prayer SHARP and head to: 1574 N. Lakeshore Road, Port Sanilac, MI 48419 Contact Phone Number: Dr. Bokhari (630) 456-2888 OR Dr. Al-Shami (313) 407-6040 Is imperative that everyone is ready to depart on time to allow for timely setup of all the necessary equipment. You can arrange with other campers for car pool or drive your own vehicle. Arrival: We will be driving our personal vehicles, travel time will be approx. 2 hours, estimated time of arrival will be 5:00 PM IA. Sunday, June 8, 2014 We will depart the camp @ 12 noon IA and head to Muslim Unity Center. Estimated time of arrival will be 2 p.m IA.
SUPPLY LIST MUST HAVE: One Sleeping bag and blanket per camper The weather might be cold/rain, please be prepared with blanket and long sleeve sweaters. You can bring your own tent or use the camp cabin s (it is your choice) One Electric Pump (battery powered)/per family, if you have inflatable mattress. There is electrical hookup at each campsite. Prayer rugs Minimum Two Flashlights (w/batteries)/per family One pair of Sneakers/comfortable walking shoes per camper One pair of slippers per camper (for the shower) One light Jacket/rain jacket per camper One Swimsuit per camper Towels for shower and swimming Adequate change of clothing per camper for three days Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.) Sunscreen/Sun block minimum SPF 30 1 bottle of insect repellent (min. 10% deet and < than 25%). Large blanket for sitting on the ground OPTIONAL ITEMS: Air mattresses (singles only) Folding chairs (there is one picnic table at each campsite). You may need the chairs for Sahra. Sports equipment, i.e. Football, Volleyball, Soccer, etc.
THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE MUSLIM UNITY CENTER ORGANIZERS Kitchen items: - Can opener Snacks, chips, some various types of pop. Some canned foods and some that don't require refrigeration.
