Basic principles and concepts of urbanism, urban theories, urban and regional planning, housing policy, city administration and urban policy, migration, shanty towns and urbanization, urbanism and local governments, urbanization policy and its results in Turkey. Anticipated Learning Outcomes At the end of the course student: 1. One comments urban theories and theoretical foundations of urbanization and analyzes them 2. One explains historical circumstances of the urbanization in general for the world, in special for Turkey, 3. One evaluates theories, process and the legal basis of urban planning and meaning with regional plans, 4.
