3 COURSE DESCRIPTION Course Objectives: Learning outcomes On successful completion of this course, student should be able to: Course content Preparing for successful of small and medium-sized projects management and increase in the organization and project teams performance. Theoretical and practical familiarization with principles of project management. Classification and expansion of knowledge and experience. Increase in efficiency of project management by better planning and implementation, efficient cost management, deadlines and quality. Increasing motivation of project team. 1. Students gain competence in understanding content and objectives of engineering projects. 2. Are trained for active participation in preparing and implementation of projects of each levels and degrees of technological complexity. 3. Are qualified for engineering project SWOT analysis. 4. Are qualified to create project financial plans. 5. Are trained to use the software tools and the basic model quality management in preparing and managing projects. 6. Qualified in make QA / QC project plans. 7. Are qualified to create a project risk management plan. 8. Are trained to create project communications management plan. Project task. Basic elements and objectives of the project tasks. Status analysis. Project types (preliminary design, main design, as built documents). The objectives of the project. Feasibility study elements and objectives. Models and methods of the project financing. Risk analysis. The project content. Establishing project team. The time dynamics of project implementation (Gantt chart, critical path). Methods of control implementation of the project according to the physical and financial scope. Methods and elements of network planning. Program tools for project monitoring (SAP, Microsoft Project, and others). Review of Croatian regulations (Construction Act) and European regulations (FIDIC) in connection with the preparation of engineering practice project management.
