During my service as Chair, we recruited our present Headteacher, went from Satisfactory to Good in the opinion of Ofsted and laid the foundation for us to top the Norfolk league tables in 2014. Varied business, health, housing and charity sector experience and qualifications in Social Work and a Master s degree in Voluntary Sector Management for the LSE inform my thinking. Also, a strong belief that all children deserve the best start but sadly many are hindered by economic and social factors which we as a school and community must work hard to overcome. My two daughters play violin and attend Bungay High School. They are also active in the Fisher Youth Theatre in Bungay. I am married to the artist Nicola Slattery. For my day job, I am a Solution Architect (i.e., I work in IT) at Aviva plc in Norwich. Outside work, I am a worship leader at my church, where I sing, play keyboards and bass guitar but not all at the same time! My daughter started at Bungay High School in September 2013 and my son in September 2015.
