COURSE DESCRIPTION Course Objectives: Learning outcomes On successful completion of this course, student should be able to: Course content Understanding the basic concepts of ethics and its role in business, entrepreneurship and economy, Apply ethical principles in the process of leadership and decision-making, Become familiar with the benefits of corporate social responsibility in the context of globalized economic and social relations Identify consequences of unethical business activities on the development of Croatian / transition / global society Be able to recognize the essential characteristics of "good society" 1. Argumenting the importance of ethics in business and business communication interpersonal relationships, 2. Ability to apply critical and argumentative thinking in the business judgment, 3. Evaluate the application of fundamental ethical principles in the business decision-making and action taking, 4. Analyze the relationship between macroeconomic policy and good economics, the importance of corporate social responsibility, 5. Evaluate the importance of the care for the environment and education, 6. Be able to prepare a code of ethics as a statement of norms and beliefs, and shape the company and strategy in business practice companies. Theoretical characteristics of ethics, morality and business ethics, ethics influence on the economy: opposed business models - stockholder and stakeholders; Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics Leadership: Ethics and trust as the foundation of authentic leadership, factors of ethical / unethical behavior of managers, protection of human and social rights, non-discrimination, codes of ethics, ethics committees, ethical standards in dealing with employees, human resource management, principles of business conduct, corruption and various forms of economic crime, conflict of interest, the public good management principles; ethical standards in marketing, Public pool and requirements for responsible business. 3
