Asset Plus user guide and FAQs Asset Plus is Standards New Zealand s hard copy update service. This guide outlines how to access and manage your Asset Plus subscription online from September 2015. For assistance getting started please contact us on 0800 782 632 or enquiries@standards.co.nz General How do I access my Asset Plus account? You can log into your Standards New Zealand account using your current username and password your Asset Plus subscription details will be displayed alongside your membership and Online Library details. If you re not sure of your login details, check with your company s membership contact, or contact us on 0800 782 632 or enquiries@standards.co.nz Navigation tips Once you ve logged in, click on View and edit profile, then select Asset Plus details on the Profile page. From this page you can change your purchase order number, change the contact person for your Asset Plus subscription, view the terms and conditions of the service, download a spreadsheet listing all the standards in your portfolio, or select View your portfolio to view the list of standards in your portfolio, modify your portfolio, and view monthly updates to your monitored documents. To view your portfolio Your portfolio is the list of all the standards that are monitored for you by the Asset Plus service. From the Asset Plus details page, select View your portfolio, then select List of standards in your Asset Plus portfolio.

This page displays a list of all the standards that are currently monitored for you by the Asset Plus service. It also shows the number of amendments that have been published for each document, and the number of replacement copies you have told us you require. Monthly updates to your monitored standards Each month we will notify you of any updates to the standards in your Asset Plus portfolio, for example a new revision, new amendment, or withdrawal of a document. Will I still receive the monthly update reports advising changes to my list/lists? Yes, you will continue to receive email notification each month when any of your monitored standards are updated. You can also log into your account to view the updates, and place orders for international documents that are not sent automatically. Log into your account, select View your portfolio on the Asset Plus details page, then click on Monthly updates : Any updates to your monitored documents will be displayed by month, along with the order status of each document. Will I still be automatically supplied with hard copy updates to Australian and New Zealand standards? Yes, new revisions of AS, NZS, and joint AS/NZS standards will be sent to you automatically in hard copy format. You will receive email confirmation of the order, and can log into your account to view the order details on the monthly updates page. Will I receive a hard copy or PDF for amendments? You will receive a PDF of NZ and joint AS/NZS amendments. You will be notified of AS amendments and given the option to download a free copy from SAI Global. How can I order international documents that have been updated? International documents are not supplied automatically under the Asset Plus service. If one of the international documents in your portfolio has been updated, you will be notified by email. When you log into your account and go to the Monthly update page, you can select the Order/Quote checkbox next to the document(s) you want to order. If the document is available on our webshop, it will be added to a shopping basket, where you can review the price and confirm or cancel your purchase. This option applies to IEC, ISO, and BSI standards. For all other international standards, select the check box to request a quote for the document. Your quote request will be placed and we will contact you by email with options for purchasing the document. Page 3 September 2015

Managing your account Once you ve logged in, click on View and edit profile, then select Asset Plus details on the Profile page to view or modify your account details. How do I change the Asset Plus contact person? You can log into your account and set up a new contact person for Asset Plus from the Profile page, or contact us on 0800 782 632 or enquiries@standards.co.nz Your Asset Plus contact will receive all monthly update emails, replacement documents, and annual subscription renewal notifications. Can I add a new purchase order number for each invoice? Yes, you can change the purchase order number for your Asset Plus subscription by logging into your account and going to the Asset Plus details page. The purchase order number you enter and save on this page will be used for all replacement documents that are automatically supplied to you under the Asset Plus service, and for your annual subscription invoice. You can change the purchase order number again at any time. If someone cancels the Asset Plus subscription in error, can it be easily reinstated? If someone does cancel your subscription in error, please contact us on 0800 782 632 or enquiries@standards.co.nz as soon as possible so we can reinstate your subscription. Page 4 September 2015

Managing your Asset Plus portfolio You can make changes to the list of standards in your portfolio at any time by logging into your account and going to the Manage your portfolio page. How do I add a new Australian or NZ standard to the list? Log into your account and go to the Manage your portfolio page. For New Zealand and joint AS/NZS standards select Standards New Zealand in the Select publisher list under Add documents to your portfolio. From here, search for the document you wish to add by number or title. Select as many documents as you wish to add, and then click on Confirm changes at the top of the page. The documents will be added to your portfolio and you will receive a confirmation email. NOTE Withdrawn standards cannot be monitored by Asset Plus and will not be displayed in the search results. For Australian standards select Standards Australia in the Select publisher list, and then enter the standard number and title to place a request. We will research the standard and contact you by email to confirm whether it can be added to your portfolio. How do I add a new international standard to the list? Log into your account and go to the Manage your portfolio page. Find the publisher of the standard in the Select publisher list, or choose Other if you re not sure of the publisher. For ISO, IEC, and British standards search for the standard by number or title. Select as many documents as you wish to add, and then click on Confirm changes at the top of the page. The documents will be added to your portfolio and you will receive a confirmation email. For documents from other publishers (for example ASTM) enter the standard number and title to place a request. We will research the standard and contact you by email to confirm whether it can be added to your portfolio. How do I remove a standard from my list? Log into your account and go to the Manage your portfolio page. You can remove a document from your portfolio by clicking on the delete button in the last column. When you ve selected the documents you wish to remove, click on Confirm your changes at the top of the page. The documents will no longer be monitored for you and you will receive an email confirming that your portfolio has been updated. Page 6 September 2015

If I want to have an international standard monitored, and don t already have an international list, how do I do that? You can add an international standard to your portfolio even if you haven t had an international list in the past. Follow the steps above under How do I add a new international standard to the list? Note Replacement international standards are not provided automatically under the Asset Plus service. We will advise you by email of any updates to the document and you have the option of placing an order by logging into your account or contacting us. A charge of $5.90 per international standard will be added to your maintenance fee when your account is next renewed. How can I change the number of replacement copies I require? Log into your account and go to the Manage your portfolio page. Click on the number in the Copies column next to the standard you want to change (a pencil icon will appear). In the box, enter the number of replacement copies you require, and then click OK. When you ve made all your changes, click on Confirm your changes at the top of the page. You will receive an email confirming that your portfolio has been updated. Page 7 September 2015

Renewing your Asset Plus subscription Your Asset Plus subscription is renewed annually. We will contact you by email one month prior to the renewal date to ask you to review your portfolio and ensure it still meets your needs. You can log into your account and go to the Manage your portfolio page to make any changes you require: for example by adding any additional documents that you need monitored, removing the documents that you no longer need, and updating the number of replacement copies you require. We ll also send a reminder email 2 weeks before the renewal date. Your subscription will be automatically renewed on the 1st of the month. You will receive a confirmation email, and an invoice for the annual maintenance fee, based on the number of documents in your portfolio. (Note For New Zealand, Australian, and joint Australian/New Zealand standards the charge is $3.70 + GST per document maintained. The annual maintenance charge for all other international standards is $5.90 + GST per document. There is a minimum annual charge of $159.00 + GST). How do I cancel my Asset Plus subscription? You can cancel your subscription at any time, with 1 month s notice, by logging in and selecting Cancel Asset Plus on the Asset Plus details page. You will be prompted to confirm or undo the cancellation before proceeding. You will be sent any pre-ordered standards and a final invoice to cover the costs of any outstanding payment. If you mistakenly cancel a subscription and wish to reinstate it then please contact us on 0800 782 632 or enquiries@standards.co.nz as soon as possible so we can reinstate your subscription.
