1 CompWest Agent Sign up for Utilizing Appulate Before starting installation General Uplink Installation Comments/Notes: Be advised that the first user to install Appulate will automatically be set up as the Administrator. Microsoft Outlook should be closed during the installation process of Uplink. Users should have administration rights/capabilities on the pc where the installation is taking place. If not, please contact the appropriate person within your organization. To Start the Installation Process Go to NOTE: The first user to install will be defaulted to the adminstrator and will need to setup additional users within the agency. 1 P age

2 Click on Sign Up! You will be taken to the next page Click on Let s Begin! 2 P age

3 On the next page, enter your company information. Fields with asterisks ( * ) are mandatory to progress to the next screen. To add more locations for your agency select the button This will add an additional location box for entry To continue the setup process select the button 3 P age

4 Enter your personal information. Before progressing you will need to create a password. You will be notified of the password strength on the right hand side. 4 P age

5 Verify the information entered is correct Select if you need to update entered information To continue, review and accept the terms for Appulate s Master Subscription Agreement. Select to continue with the setup process Select to discontinue the setup process 5 P age

6 Upon accepting the agreement, you will receive the confirmation screen Select the Click here to log in link Process for Downloading the Uplink Driver (now) Select Tools From the drop down menu Select Download Uplink Alternative Process for downloading the Uplink Driver (later) You will also receive an notification with a link to access Appulate.com Click on the here link within the You will follow the same process for downloading Uplink 6 P age

7 Process for Setting Up and Downloading Appulate Uplink Utilizing the Select you agency management system drop down, select the system your agency utilizes Please be sure to select this from the drop down menu. If you do not see your agency management system in the drop down, scroll to the last option of Other 7 P age

8 This will open an additional field for entry Enter the name of your system and click the button If your agency management system is not listed, please select "[Other ]" to install the driver. After selecting your management system, click on the installation link. Download Appulate Uplink Driver Select Run and follow the installation instructions 8 P age

9 Storing your CompWest Agency Code Select Markets Click on Selected from the drop down menu Click on CompWest Ins Co. to open up your agency information Select My Agency Enter your CompWest Insurance Company Agency code (it will be in the following format 50XXXXX) 9 P age

10 Quoting with CompWest via Appulate Locate the Applicant PDF to submit to CompWest Select Print 10 P age

11 Select Appulate Uplink from your Printer drop down Select the Print button Enter your Login and Password for Appulate Select The status bar will display Once the quote is loaded you will see the Document is in a Document Preprocess status 11 P age

12 Once the document has been processed you will be taken to the Submission screen to select CompWest Check the box to select CompWest Click the button The user will be taken into elink with the application information populated. 12 P age

13 First time logging into Appulate Select the Add Login link Select Use My Login and enter your CompWest Insurance username and password into the Login and Password fields displayed Click 13 P age

14 To Edit A Login Select the Edit Login link Select the appropriate login from the drop down The Login and Password can be changed Select Setting up Additional Users The first user to install Appulate will be automatically set as the Administrator. The Administrator will then add additional users from the agency by following the instructions below. 14 P age

15 While logged into the Appulate website, hover over Setup and select Users Once you have been directed to the Users page, click the button. Enter the requested information for the new User o Note: You will create the initial password for the user and send this information to them. They will receive it in a confirmation and can change it thereafter (this information will be covered in a later step). 15 P age

16 At the bottom of the User Profile page, enter the Market Login for the new user. o Enter the information the user utilizes when logging into elink through the CompWest website. Click the button beneath Market Logins. The new user will receive an advising them of their username and password along with a hyperlink they can click to activate their account. Once logged in they will be prompted to change their password. Important: all new users will need to download the Uplink Driver in order to utilize Appulate. o The directions on how to download this driver are listed on page 6.
