Pac III. Single Gas Detection Instruments ST-179-98
Pac = Personal Air Control only one unit for selection of a sensor from the extensive range of DrägerSensors suitable for measuring different toxic gases and oxygen sturdy, pocket-sized, interference-immune housing measuring and warning with Pac III B and Pac III S, additional documentation with Pac III E
Pac III is an intelligent and versatile single-gas detection instrument for measuring toxic gases and vapors, which offers the following features: plug-in, intelligent electrochemical DrägerSensors low maintenance two freely adjustable alarm limits TRGS 402 monitoring (Pac III E) integrated datalogger and PC connection (Pac III E) The unit comes in three versions: 1. Pac III B is the basic version for the common gases CO, H 2 S and O 2. Its basic functions cover all routine tasks. 2. Pac III S is the standard version for measuring toxic gases or oxygen. Its versatile range of setting options means that this unit can easily be adapted to suit all measurement tasks. 3. Pac III E is the extended version. In addition to continuous measurement and, if necessary, warning, Pac III E enables evaluation of the measured data as per TRGS 402 and documentation with its integrated datalogger, which can store up to 8000 measured values or events. Using GasVision, our Windows - compatible software, data can be transferred to a PC for clear docu-mentation and display. It is your job as user to check the hazard area in a quick and reliable manner. The system s high degree of flexibility really comes into its own in the chemical industry. Simply by replacing the sensor (or switching the preset gas type in the sensor), you can change from one gas type to another. The petrochemical industry will particularly benefit from the H 2 S sensor which boasts a quick response time and is available in two measurement ranges. The broadband OV sensor enables firefighters to detect gases and vapors quickly and reliably, without the need to change the sensor. What is more, when used with a CO sensor in the metal processing industry, Pac III stands out thanks to its simple handling and extreme robustness. Further features which all versions share: display illumination at the push of a button extremely loud audible alarm signal (> 85 dba, 30 cm) clearly visible red alarm light can be used with either alkaline, 1) zinc charcoal or lithium battery, or with rechargeable battery many other configurations possible through individual setting options full range of accessories for every conceivable measurement task ST-386-98 1) only with XS 2 and PacSensor II 4
Individual adaptation With its high level of versatility, Pac III is able to meet many individual requirements. Benefits: If different gas hazards need to be measured, a number of different electrochemical sensors can be kept ready at hand and then simply connected to the device as needed. Future-oriented The flexibility of this measurement system guarantees compatibility with future extensions like new sensors or other accessories. Gas intake Gas intake can take place by diffusion or by using an external pump. Benefits: intake of air from ducts, shafts or ships holds is possible up to a distance of 45 m the pump is monitored and an alarm given in the event of insufficient flow Display Full graphics display with point-matrix display. Benefits: menu-guided operation display of graphic symbols Housing The housing is designed to withstand extremely tough environmental conditions. Benefits: - the unit does not have to be carried continuously but can be placed in a stable upright position without the risk of the device falling over and being damaged. - the unit will withstand being dropped. - the unit can be placed in puddles or heavy rain without malfunctioning.
