5. Coaching Development Camps (or game analyst, referee) An increased number of coaches require internationally accredited rugby and sport qualifications so that they can coach locally and overseas. The aim of the course is to improve his coaching, and help building a coach development plan. The course offers a balance of theoretical study, practical training and work-based learning experience to prepare coaches for the exciting world of coaching. They will also help at schools, clubs or other institutions, with a variety of skills. Coaches will also have an excellent opportunity to do take on a greater level of sports coaching responsibility within one of the under-resourced partner schools. Coaches receive reports at the end of the program. The passion for this sport in SA is shared across the country. Much of the raw talent for SA rugby comes from the townships, although few players ever get the opportunity to make it onto the international stage. Taking sports to these communities is fun and incredibly rewarding. Without sports as part of a wider curriculum, the township kids have very

little opportunity for organised training and games. Your passion for sport will get an enthusiastic response, and you will have a lot of fun coaching them and seeing how much it all means to them. The Coaching programme will involve: There is a weekly time table and planning meeting with coaching staff, where visiting coaches discussed their needs and week schedule. You will have an excellent opportunity to take on a greater level of teaching and sports coaching responsibility within one of the underresourced partner schools. And be apart of developing the potential of children who wouldn t otherwise have access to such excellent level of sports coaching.
