Certified Professional in Health and Hospital Administration (CPHHA) Learning Objectives: To provide participants with enhanced skills to manage and administer their hospitals as well as prepare healthcare executives for executing related programs and overseeing improvement projects. To assist the participants to acquire advanced skills for organizational success, leadership, effectiveness and efficiency techniques, principles of management, creative problem solving, team building and financial management. To provide training in the development, implantation and evaluations of strategic plans. Participants in the and hospital administration course will be able to prepare themselves for a career that is not only exiting, but vital to the lives of hundreds, or even thousands, of people. To provide participants and expose them to the complex organization of hospitals and to the internal operations, processes, roles, management techniques, information needs and technology utilization in the different components of hospital system. How to integrate functions and information of different departments to achieve effectiveness and efficiency. To ensure their hospitals operate efficiently and provide adequate medical care to patients. Course Description: A one-week course (5 days) will be delivered for and targeted to hospital administrators and associate administrators for the purpose of retraining and the strengthening of their skills and knowledge. The course will be constructed of 10 sessions of 4 hours each. The course could be delivered at a suitable venue during the morning and afternoon periods, Saturday to Wednesday (8-12 and 1-5) for one week. The course will include practical group work sessions and case studies as well as didactic learning from at least two experienced faculty members of American Universities. Those participants interested in the Certified Professional in Health and Hospital Administration -CPHHA, will be required to pass a test administered by the American Institute for Healthcare Quality. 2
