Your benefit - Project Competence Concept Siemens employee and student Bora Yücel The Siemens specific program at Steinbeis creates value not only for the individual s academic development but also for the sector the trainee is working in within Siemens. The General Management program allows the student to write department specific case studies which have direct application into the work environment. The Steinbeis University believes strongly in a concept we call the Project Competence Programme (German: PKS). The key priority throughout: a constant focus on business needs, underpinned by a solid grounding in academic and scientific theory. During their studies, participants work on live projects at the company sponsoring their study. Their project is subsequently implemented within the business. This innovative concept goes way beyond conventional degrees: projects are designed to facilitate integrated transfer, whereby the students gain new skills during their studies and apply their new knowledge in everyday business. Apart from linking directly to vocational requirements, this opens up new avenues to innovation, competitive advantage and improved profitability. The projects offer added value for your company e.g. cost savings or improvements in productivity. They allow students to specialise in specific areas, promoting their individual goals for the programme. topics of PRoJeCt titles (examples) Introduction of a balanced scorecard in a company Establish a financial analysis system for a logistics company Quality control systems for the production branch through a value analysis Diversity management and its implementation in the human resources and organisational development of a service company SBA 4
