Job Description : Supervise Network Operation Centre (NOC) shift operations designed to support the network and all provided services. Be familiar with all Transmission Technologies such SDH/PDH/Microwave Hardware &software. Develop and train NOC Technicians in corrective action procedures, outage reports, trouble ticket system, surveillance system and any other NOC tools Responsible for updating and maintaining documentation associated to NOC processes and procedures Acting as optical systems expert Troubleshooting issues related to network infrastructure, hardware and applications Collating, processing and presenting all records and data in a timely and appropriate manner Management and configuration of NOC monitoring tools. Setting-up, implementing and reviewing operational procedures to be used by the Level 1 and Level 2 NOC Engineers. Providing on-call support out of office hours. (Approximately one weekend out of eight averaging 1-3 calls of approximately 30 minutes duration each plus occasional on-call requirements as a result of sickness or holidays) Assisting with escalations as requested by Engineers or
Management. Qualification Bachelor degree or above in Telecommunications /Electrical engineering/computer Science or other related field of study. More than 2 years experience in telecommunication networks Minimum 3 years managing staff experience Good understanding and knowledge of Telecom networks. Must have experience using Office applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc) Extensive system administration & networking skills and Good teamwork skill collaborating with regions. Excellent Communication and presenting skills in Dari, Pashto and English Written and verbal communication skills Negotiation skills Management and leadership traits.
