1 Marketing Manager (part time) Maternity Cover Dear Applicant Thank you for your interest in this post. Bridport Arts Centre is housed in a Grade 2 listed Wesleyan Chapel and adjoining schoolroom. It consists of a small-scale theatre (200 seats), gallery, bar and café. It opened over 40 years ago and plays a central role in Bridport, West Dorset, an attractive and culturally vibrant market town with a population of 15,000, on the World Heritage-designated Jurassic Coast. The Arts Centre runs a year-round programme of theatre, dance, live music, literature, film, event cinema, visual art, workshops and community events. Bridport Arts Centre is strategically important in the region s cultural infrastructure. It is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and is revenue funded by West Dorset District Council and Bridport Town Council. We are looking to recruit a part-time post to lead on marketing and audience development for our programme and for the organisation generally. 7 Marketing Manager (part time) Maternity Cover: Job Description Job Title: Responsible to: Hours: Salary: Marketing Manager Director 24 hours a week 12,000 per year ( 20,000 pro rata) Main function of the job To promote and market the work of Bridport Arts Centre, principally the theatre, gallery and education programme. Key responsibilities: To maximise ticket sales and audience numbers through a varied marketing mix for the performing and visual arts programme through marketing and audience development campaigns. To work collaboratively with other organisation s marketing professionals To work with external design agencies and to produce in-house advertising material. To work closely with the box office manager to coordinate distribution of marketing and promotional materials. To maintain and develop the Arts Centre website and online presence including through social networks To operate the Box Office, in the absence of the Box Office Assistant. To contribute to advocacy of the Arts Centre and promotion of the Building Capital Appeal. To attend regular staff meetings. To provide reports and budgets as required for the Director and Board. To observe and promote Bridport Arts Centre's agreed policies and procedures, eg Health and Safety. Any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Current driving licence (unless prevented from holding a licence by disability)

9 Marketing Manager (part-time) Maternity Cover Summary of terms and conditions of employment The terms below do not form part of a contract and are for information only. Should you be offered and accept employment with Bridport Arts Centre you will receive a contract setting out in full your terms and conditions. Employer Bridport Arts Centre Job Title Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) Hours of Work 24 hours per week. No overtime is paid but time off in lieu may be taken if excessive hours are worked. There is flexibility on days worked subject to agreement with the Director. Holiday Entitlement The annual leave entitlement will be 17 days per annum plus pro rata statutory and public holidays. The holiday year runs from 1 April. Salary Information The salary for the job is 12,000 per annum. Probationary Period The post is subject to a termination notice period for employee and employer of 3 months. Flexibility All Bridport Arts Centre jobs are carried on a flexible basis: duties and responsibilities may vary as a result of policy reviews without changing the level of responsibility indicated in the attached job description.
