AUTO DIAL To Program NOTE To Dial CALL PARK - Park a call - Retrieve the call CALL PICKUP Without Call Pickup key With Call Pickup key CALLING PARTY PRIVACY Stores one phone number per key for quick dial. 1. Without lifting handset, press Autodial key. Indicator next to this key will flash. The following information is displayed. Programming autodial Enter number 2. Enter the phone number you want to save. (See NOTE) The following information is displayed. Press autodial to save 4. Press the autodial key, indicator will go out. 5. Phone number is saved. For external phone numbers enter 9 before the phone number. Example: Local call: 97031234567 Domestic long distance: 918161234567 International: 9011 (City code may also be required.) 1. Lift handset 2. Press the autodial key where the phone number is stored. Place a call on hold and retrieve it from another phone. 1. Press Park. 2. Enter your 5-digit phone number. 3. Press Park. 1. Go to the phone where you will retrieve the call. 2. Lift handset. 3. Dial *72. 4. Enter your 5-digit phone number. Answer any ringing telephone in your group without leaving your desk. Contact Telecom Admin, 3-3546 for additional information. 2. Enter *11. 2. Press Pickup. Keeps your phone number from displaying on the called party s Caller ID. This feature must be activated BEFORE each call. 1. Lift handset, hear dial tone. 2. Dial *67 and place your call. NOTE CONFERENCE If the phone number you are calling does not accept calls from parties that have activated Calling Party Privacy you will hear a message stating your call cannot go through because the party you are calling will not accept these types of calls. Speak with up to five people, plus yourself at the same time. The conference key does not display until you are on a call. NOTE: For conference calls larger than six please contact Telecom Admin, x3-3546 to reserve the Conference Bridge. CALL JOIN 1. Dial first conference member. Inform them you want to include them in a conference call. 2. Press Conference. Member is automatically placed on hold. 3. Hear dial tone and dial next member. 4. When member answers, let them know you want to include them in a conference call. 5. Press Connect. 6. Repeat to add additional conference members. Connect a call on another line to current conference call.

Return to conference call. 3. Press Conference. 4. Return to incoming caller. 5. Press Conference. Incoming caller is joined to the conference call. Keeps a log of your incoming calls. 6. Stop when you reach New call indication. 7. If indicator is turned Off press On. 6. Highlight Log all calls. 6. Highlight Log unanswered calls. NOTE: Pressing Quit BEFORE pressing Done will cancel your selection. The callers log stores your incoming calls. This log can store up to 100 incoming calls. The calls that are stored depends on how you setup the Call Log Options. 1. Press Callers. 2. Call Log will display the number of New and Total calls. 4. Use Quit to exit. 1. Press Callers. 2. Select Delete. 3. Delete current item? will display on screen. 4. Select Yes. The 3904 has a personal directory that allows you to store 100 phone numbers. 1. Press Directory/Log. 2. Select Personal Directory. 3. Press AddNew. 4. Using the dial pad enter the name you want to display. 5. Press Case to alternate between upper and lower case letters. 6. Press Delete to delete one letter at a time. 7. Press Cancel to delete the complete entry. 8. Press Next when you have completed entering the name. 9. Enter phone number.

To delete a phone number DISPLAY ELECTRONIC LOCK FORWARD 10. Press Done to save. 1. Press Directory/Log. 2. Select Personal Directory. 3. Select the phone number you want to delete. 4. Press Delete. 5. Delete current item? will display. 5. Select Yes to delete current item. Display the telephone number of a second incoming call with another call in progress. 1. Press Display. 2. Press the line key that is ringing. 3. Telephone number calling will be displayed. When activated your telephone is restricted to campus calls only. 2. Dial #8. 3. Enter your 4-digit station code. 2. Dial #9. 3. Enter your 4-digit station code. Sends all calls directly to voicemail or another Mason telephone number. 1. Without lifting handset, press Forward. 2. Enter forward number will display on screen. 3. Enter 5-digit telephone number where calls will be sent. 4. Press Done to activate. 5. Calls Forwarded will display on screen. 6. CheckFW will display in the lower left corner of the screen. NOTE: The phone remembers the last phone number you entered on this key. If you always forward your phone to the same phone number (voice mail), once 34500 is programmed on the Forward key you only need to press the Forward key twice to forward your phone. HANDSFREE 2-WAY SPEAKER To place a call From handset to speaker From speaker to handset MUTE INTERCOM 1. Without lifting handset, press CheckFW twice. Enables you to talk with a caller without lifting your handset. 1. Lift handset or press Handsfree. 2. Hear dial tone. 3. Dial phone number. 1. While on a call using your handset. 2. Press Handsfree. 3. Hang up handset. 4. To disconnect call press Goodbye. 1. While on a call using handsfree. 2. Lift handset. 3. To disconnect call hang up handset. Use Mute when you are participating in a webinar or conference call and do not need to speak. Press Mute. Indicator will flash. Press Mute. Indicator will go out. Talk to a member of your group by dialing a two digit number. Contact Telecom Admin, ext. 3-3546 for additional information.

If one of your keys displays I/C your phone has been programmed in an intercom group. There are two types of intercom: voice activated and ring. Your individual intercom number is usually the last two digits of your phone number. Voice intercom Ring intercom KEY LABEL LAST NUMBER REDIAL MESSAGE REDIAL LIST Dial a phone number in the list Delete a phone number from the list 2. Press the I/C key. 3. Dial the 2-digit intercom number of the person you want to intercom. 4. The intercom will automatically answer and you can begin speaking. 1. Lift handset 2. Press the I/C key. 3. Dial the 2-digit intercom number of the person you want to intercom. 4. The intercom will ring until the person answers. 5. You will hear a busy signal if the person is on the phone. You can change the label on all keys, with the exception of your main line. These keys are called feature keys. Example: Change your rollover 4xxxx to display ROLLOVER. 1. Press Options. 3. Stop when you reach Change feature key label (02 Options List). 5. Change feature key label will be highlighted. 6. Press Select. 7. Select the key you want to change. 8. Edit feature key label will display on screen. 9. Press Delete to remove each letter/number displayed. 10. Using the dial pad enter the name you want to display. 11. Press Case to alternate between capital and small letters. 12. Press Done to save. Call the last phone number you dialed without re-entering the phone number. 2. Press your line key. OR Without lifting handset press your line key twice. Call Voicemail. This key is programmed to dial 3-4500 when pressed. 1. Lift handset or press Handsfree. 2. Press Message. This log stores outgoing calls and will store up to 20 entries. 2. Redial list and the number of items in the list will be displayed on screen. 4. The date and time of the call will be displayed at the top right of screen. 5. The phone number will be directly below 01 Redial list. 6. Use the Navigation keys to scroll to the right and display the name associated with the phone number. 7. Press Dial to dial the phone number. 8. Select a free line will display on screen. 9. Lift handset or press the key next to your extension. 10. Press OK to complete dialing. 2. Redial list and the number of items in the list will be displayed on screen. 4. Press Delete to remove the phone number from the list.

8. Delete current item? will display on screen. 9. Select Yes to delete the phone number. Copy a phone number to your directory RING TYPE Access Ring Type SHIFT STATION CODE FEATURES TRANSFER 2. Use Navigation keys to scroll through list. 3. Press Copy when the number you want to copy to your directory is highlighted. 4. Press Dirctry. 5. Copy to will be displayed at the top of the screen. 6. Press Next. 7. Press Done to save name and phone number in your directory. Allows you to change the ring type of your phone. There is a choice of eight different ring types. 1. Press Options 3. Stop when you reach Ring type. 5. Use Navigation keys to scroll to Ring type 1. 6. Press Play to listen to Ring type 1. 7. Use Navigation keys to scroll to the next Ring type. 8. Press Play to listen. 9. Press Select to save a Ring type. 10. Press Done to return to Ring type. 11. Press Quit to exit Options List. NOTE: Pressing Quit BEFORE Done will cancel your selection. The 3904 has two layers. Each layer has six programmable keys. Your phone number is programmed on the first layer. The second layer can be used for additional features and line appearances. Press Shift to alternate between the two layers. Activates certain features on your telephone. The station code is the last 4- digits of your telephone number. Electronic Lock Transfer a caller to another Mason department, faculty or staff. 1. Press Transfer. Caller is automatically placed on hold. 2. Dial 5-digit phone number where call is being transferred. 3. Announce the caller. 4. To complete the transfer press Connect.
