European Human Resources Business Partner Distribution and Products, Frankfurt Company Key Responsibilities Our client is a well-known and highly reputable international asset manager with offices all over Europe, America and Asia-Pacific. With more than 300 billion assets under management, more than 500 investment professionals and local presence in 18 countries, the company has built up a considerable track-record in managing assets in equity, fixed-income and multi-asset strategies. As a diversified active investment manager with global investment and research capabilities, clients value the company as a trustworthy and long-term oriented partner with a strong culture of risk management. Having a local presence in Switzerland for several years, the company is seeking a new Head of Branch to further develop and strengthen its Swiss business and to lead the local sales team. Further to the position as Head of Branch the successful candidate shall actively develop the company s institutional business bycovering pension funds, insurers and corporates. For this growing business we are seeking an internationally experienced HR Business Partner who will have responsibility for supporting the European Distribution & Products organizations, through a period of change and growth. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work with world class teams to help shape our client in its on-going mission as a strategic partner to its clients. This will be through ensuring the continuing provision of the leading asset management services that have made it one ofthe top active asset managers in the world. The European HR Business Partner Distribution and Products will report to the Head of European Human Resources for the company and have very direct links to the leaders of the Distribution and Products businesses. The key markets for this role will be Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and the UK, with smaller offices across the region in the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. For this international role, you will also lead a small team ofhr professionals.

Key Responsibilities Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional who thrives on the challenge to work with a senior team of asset management experts. Overall the distribution and products organizations includes all sales channels (retail & institutional clients) marketing and product development. These functions consist of approximately 400 FTE across Europe. As an extension of this, some support will also be given to the Global Products division for project work. Whilst not large in people scope, the sophistication of the employee base, as well as hugely successful growth story, requires a senior HRleader with strategic views and maturity This role has the mission to develop human resources strategies, effective solutions and ensure key HR processes are delivered in support of the business objectives. You will provide HR advice and counsel on strategic and business performance issues to the senior divisional leadership within Europe. You will understand the business objectives, talent management requirements, organizational development and other, broad human capital challenges. Working with the business leaders to build talent for the future of the organization will be a key element ofthe role. Key Accountabilities HR Business Strategy Act as a true HR Business Partner to the senior leadership of the Distribution and Products divisions in Europe providing advice and engaging with them to understand their needs, creating an environment of trust and reliance of advice not just execution. Talent Management & Talent Acquisition Effectively manage the talent management process, including talent acquisition, evaluation, development, deployment and retention in cooperation with the centers of expertise Learning & Development/Talent Management and Compensation & Benefits. Culture Building In conjunction with line management and the Regional HR Head, drive and contribute to the development of a value based organizational culture which will inspire employee commitment, promote a winning spirit and improve employee engagement. Performance Responsible for the planning and execution of the Performance Management System (appraisal system and compensation process). Regulation Understand the internal and external framework for staff in different locations / countries in Europe and work closely with the HR Country Heads to ensure requirements are met where relevant. Coaching & Mentoring Use coaching and mentoring skills to the direct HR team and the senior divisional leadership. Change Management Support the region in relevant restructuring plans as needed. When relevant building good working relationships with the Works Council and ensure smooth transitions. HR Operations Ensure governance and best solutions for daily administrative issues are delivered with quality and efficiency.

Key Competencies Business Acumen/Excellent Influencing, Communication and Networking Skills: In the context of a global organization the successful candidate will make sure that he/she understands the company s business and needs as well as the matrix and interactions between regional organizations and divisions. The candidate thinks like a business person and functions asa highly effective organizational change agent. The successful candidate is able to collaborate across functional and divisional areas and work effectively in a complex organizational structure. During negotiations he/she will have to know when to be assertive and when to be diplomatic. The individual must quickly establish rapport, value and respect within the organisation by being a visible presence and by establishing relationships with the executives and all counterparts within the local and international Human Resources organization. Strategic Focus with Operational Excellence: With a modern understanding of human resources issues and agenda, the HR BP will ensure the impact of HR on business decisions and find a balance between operational and strategic tasks. Whilst having the ability to actively contribute to the establishment of strategic plans in line with change processes, what is also required is an open, alert and continuously curious mindset, seeking new ways to do things. Crucial that the individual have the ability to operate at the big picture level and also have a roll up your sleeves attitude atthe same time. International Mindset & Presence and Cultural Fit: As the business is pan European in scope it is crucial to bring in multicultural understanding and experience with working in an international company environment. The successful candidate is used to work effectively through a complex matrix and is familiar with a global organization and demonstrates the ease with which they can address both, business and cultural needs in a sophisticated local and international environment. Leadership, a Self-Starting Personality within anevolving/change Environment: The candidate convinces by a credible and convincing personality and is keen to work in a continuously changing environment. Being self-motivated and a selfstarter he/she feels comfortable as a member of a evolving Human Resources organization and contributes strongly to the further development of quality, service and high level standards, achieving the credibility with line, that the function needs to establish. Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally during change processes in a complex organizational environment, ensuring value-added Human Resources services being delivered in time and as required by continuously assessing and developing the team. The individual carries personal and functional credibility and will get people to follow even against initial scepticism.

Professional Experience/Qualifications At least 8 12 years Human Resources experience, with a focus in the area of Business Partnership, in a highly regarded international business, combined with knowledge of with best-in-class, human resources instruments and processes focused on recruiting, resourcing and employer branding & marketing. Significant change management experience and demonstrated leadership depth (including leading projects of significant scope and impact), with high level of comfort in working in / and contributing to an evolving HRplatform. Proven ability to build partnerships across various functions and work in a collaborative manner, developing strong working relationships with clients, employees and HR colleagues. Primary experience and track record in strongly client and service focused organizations. Experience working both in and line function and also within a sophisticated corporate center environment would be a strong positive. Demonstrated ability in contributing to the development of a high performance culture and significantly improving leadership capability. Language requirement: English fluent, other European language desirable.
