Getting Started: AUI is providing custom direct access rating and servicing solutions to III and Nationwide agencies. This unique end to end platform affords agents one of the quickest self-serve rating and broadest appetite solutions in the marketplace. Please Note: In order for AUI to achieve their commitment to quick turnaround and our customer service experience, please utilize the solutions and information provided on the AUI Direct Access websites solely. We want to ensure that your submissions and service needs are handled by the staff designated to support the new venture. Although various training materials may reflect Appalachian Underwriters branding, the functionality and workflow are identical for III and Nationwide agents Login and Sign-Up Assistance: All AUI - Direct Access programs have a login or / signup process. The most common login is a single sign on feature, which asks for your individual email address (sub agents as well), and your Nationwide 9 digit producer code which creates your private dashboard for that rater. In the event it doesn t pass you straight through, it will ask you to edit or add your contact details to be granted immediate access. Once Logged in, Your personal rating dashboard will look like the following. Remember that all Direct Access Sites through AUI will clearly identify III, and a consistent look and feel. 1 P a g e
About Your Dashboard: The above page will open in your internet browser. This is a Dashboard of your work and various statuses: 1) New Quote creates a new quote for an applicant that has not already been submitted to Appalachian or already quoted on the online rating system 2) My Quotes List link will provide a list of quotes completed by your agency. List link provides a list of all of the quotes started on the online rating system. 3) The Search: This gives you the option to search by the Quote number or name of the applicant. Helpful Hints: If you call Appalachian concerning the online rating system, please have the quote number. This allows us to pull up the submission from our side and view or amend the quote as needed. This will help us provide faster service. What are the Various Statuses? Referral Submitted: This submission has been assigned to an underwriter for review. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once the referral has been submitted to us for review. The attachment will include a copy of the online referral quote and let you know the underwriter on the account. Once the submission is referred to Appalachian, you will be unable to make any 2 P a g e
changes. Please contact the underwriter with any questions or to make any changes. The underwriter will receive a copy of your referral e-mail. Or you can click the VIEW link and view your submission. This will be the same information that is forwarded to your e-mail address. Referral: This status states that at least one part of the information you put in the system has caused a referral status. At this point the submission has not been submitted to underwriting and will not be reviewed, until the referral is sent to underwriting. Quote Emailed: Once your agency has e-mail the quote to your agency e-mail, you will be unable to make any changes. The confirmation e-mail you receive will include a copy of the online quote, application and also provide you with the name of your underwriter. You can contact the underwriter to make any changes or bind coverage.. Or you can click the VIEW link and view your submission. This will be the same information that is forwarded to your e-mail address. Incomplete: If the quote has not been completed if you can in and make any changes. Please click the EDIT link to open the quote Quick Quote Indication: This quote has not been completed. You can click EDIT and be able to complete the quote, make changes, refer to underwriter or bind coverage. The quote must be completed before you can bind coverage or submit the referral to underwriting. Quoted: This risk has not been submitted to underwriting or e-mailed to your agency. Starting a Quote: Very intuitive workflow for capturing customer detail. In only two screen you can have an indication, and in only 5 screens you would have a firm decision as a full Quote! The following are helpful comments on areas that may not be intuitive, or would assist you in classifying and underwriting your submission with higher accuracy. HELPFUL HINTS: Corporation Name/DBA: If the applicant does not have a DBA Name then you can simply put in the name of the insured again. THE NAME ENTERED INTO THIS BOX IS HOW THE RISK WILL SHOW UP IN OUR SYSTEM. THEREFORE, IF YOU ENTER N/A OR NONE, THIS IS HOW THE SUBMISSION WILL BE ENTERED INTO OUR SYSTEM. Detailed description of operation: The more information you can provide in this box the better. The underwriter will review this information to verify the submission is rated correctly. If the description is to vague or not enough information is provided additional information may be requested. 4 P a g e

Risk Classification: Gross receipts: This is the amount the applicant will bring in before any expenses are taken out. This amount must be more than payroll and subcontracting cost or the business is not profitable. Owner Classification: Click Add: You can search for the owners class code by typing in the operations. If more than one class code is needed for the owner, only put the highest rated class code in the owner classification portion. You can add the other classifications in the employee payroll box and put in $1 for the employee payroll. This will let the underwriter know that these class codes needed to be added. 91580: This class code can only be used for a general contractor. The owner cannot be doing any manual labor. If the owner is doing manual labor, classify the owner for his/her operations. 6 P a g e
Add or Edit: If you try to add more than one class code for a single owner, you will get the message below. This indicates you need to add an additional class code under the employee payroll. Employee If needed to add an additional class code for the owner, answer YES to the employee question. Put the number of employees as 1 and enter $1 for the payroll. Click the add button to add a class code and provide the appropriate payroll associated with the single class code. You can add multiple class codes in this section. 7 P a g e
The Class Codes entered will be listed out for your review. You can Delete, Add or Edit from this screen. When ready you can choose from the two options: Show Quick rate indication or Save and continue with full quote Show Indication: This will give you a summary of the information you provided and give you a premium indication. This is not reviewed by an underwriter. It will be saved in the system for you to continue at a later date or change information. You can do this by clicking the EDIT button on the My Quotes Screen when you first enter the rater. This option is not a full quote. Save and Continue: This option will bring up a series of YES/No question to verify the applicant will quality for our online programs. 8 P a g e
The Following Screen(s) Assume Full Quote Process: Answer Yes or NO to the questions on the next few screens. There are also a couple questions that need you to choose an option from a drop down box. Please read reach question carefully because the answer to all questions is not necessarily NO in order to qualify. These next 3 pages will have general questions that apply to all class codes and class code specific questions. HELPFUL Hint: The How many years loss free question does not take into account if the applicant has had prior coverage. This is a general question. If you answer 0 years loss free we will assume the applicant has had a claim in the past year, even though they may not have prior coverage. If a loss has occurred, 3 years loss runs with a detailed description of the loss will be required. 9 P a g e

Optional Coverage s: Additional insured: If you are adding a single additional insured, the Appalachian Additional Insured Supplemental will be required at binding, if you choose to e-mail the quote to your agency and bind at a later date. If you bind online, this form will be required within 10 days. We will be unable to issue the policy without the completed and approved additional insured form. The Additional insured form will be subject to underwriter review. Blanket waivers, blanket per project, and blanket primary non contributory: Choosing one or all of these endorsements will automatically cause the quote to underwriting. Additional information will be requested from your underwriter. Most of the time we will require a list of entities that need to be added under the blanket. 11 P a g e
Final Results Screen: Referral Required (with price known) Successful Quote, or Decline Referrals: If you get the word referral after completing the eligibility questions, the reason for the referral will be listed directly under the name. You can go back through the quote and correct the answer to the referral question, if you originally put in the information incorrectly. At this point the quote has not been submitted to underwriting. If you do not submit the referral or change the information, it will be saved in the system for your agency to complete at a later date. The premium indication provided is not firm, this is subject to change. The green button Submit to underwriting must be clicked for the submission to be sent to an underwriter. 12 P a g e
FINAL QUOTE Successful: The quote is eligible for our programs pending underwriting review. If you do not continue with the e-mail my quote or request bind option, this quote will be saved in the system and your agency can complete the quote at a later date. Printable Quote/ Or Review Application: You can open up the full quote in this panel. This will list out the answers to verification questions and provide the class code information used for rating. You are able to print, or download these pdf s You now have three options available.. Save and return later, Email my Quote, or Request Bind.. 13 P a g e
E-mail my Quote: This option will lock your agency out of the quote. This will send the information to an underwriter but it will not be automatically reviewed by an underwriter. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address in the system. This will contain a copy of the quote and a confirmation letting you know who the underwriter is. In order to make any changes you can contact the underwriter provided in the e-mail. Request Bind: This will send a bind request to the underwriter and we will bind coverage. The policies are 25% MEP and taxes, fees, and optional coverages are fully earned. Therefore, do not click this option, if you do not want coverage bound. Even though the bind order has been sent to underwriter, the quote is subject to underwriter review. The underwriter will either bind coverage, send a request for additional information, or send a revised quote to the e-mail that is in the online system. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail this option with the firm quote and your underwriters contact information. You can contact this underwriter with any questions. If you decide to e-mail my quote or bind the online quote, the additional page will come up for completion. The information put into this page is used for underwriting purposes and could affect the quote. Please provide as accurate information as possible. If you need to upload signed applications, loss runs or any other information for underwriting, you can add these files by clicked the browse option and uploading the files. 14 P a g e

At this point, you can click Submit E-mail, for binding, see next page. If you clicked the option to BIND: you will receive the additional information above. The Type in name will verify you want the policy bound with the information provided and that you agree to pay the premium on these agency bill accounts.
