General Presentation of HEC a few words of history Unique to France, the Grandes Ecoles were formed in the early 19 th century to channel the «best and the brightest» of the nation s youth into the French ministries, armies and engineering corps. HEC was founded in 1881 by The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) a semi-public agency representing businesses and education in the greater Paris region. HEC was the first business school to create a campus close to Paris, inaugurated by de Gaulle in 1964.

HEC MSc has exchange agreements with 85 of the world s leading universities and business schools, giving over 240 exchange students the opportunity to spend a semester or two semesters at HEC. Students are welcome to join HEC either for the Fall semester (September December) Spring semester (February June) The exchange program is exclusively open to students nominated by their home university according to the exchange agreement between HEC and the partner university
