(ii) (iii) An Advanced Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution with a minimum of an upper second class PLUS Postgraduate Diploma and Secondary School Certificates. A recognized professional qualification (CPA, CSP, ACCA, CA, CIB, MCIM, CMA certificate) PLUS Secondary School Certificates. Duration:, depending on the programme. 3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree Possession of a relevant Masters degree from any recognized university. All Ph.D. programmes are offered by thesis; a few programmes offer both Ph.D. by thesis and by coursework and dissertation (e.g. Economics, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration and Kiswahili). The duration of Ph.D. programmes by thesis is three years for full-time candidates and five years for part-time candidates. The duration of Ph.D. by coursework and dissertation is four years.
