Space rental at University Settlement is available at two distinct locations - our historic headquarters at 184 Eldridge Street (near the B, D, F, M, J/Z, and 6 trains) and the stateof-the-art Houston Street Center at 273 Bowery (near the B, D, F, M, N, R, J/Z, and 6 trains). These two sites are a five minute walk from one another and have a variety of spaces available that suit many needs: workshops lectures conferences sporting events birthday parties rehearsals performances screenings weddings and more We know that we have the right space available for your needs at a competitive price. SPEYER HALL AT 184 ELDRIDGE Speyer Hall is a Lower East Side gem located within University Settlement s landmark headquarters on Eldridge Street and the corner of Rivington. Ideal for public events, lectures, performances and workshops, Speyer Hall is a 35 x 60 ft. fully-equipped theater with flexible seating for up to 120 guests. Add in our adjacent library and we can accommodate 200-250 mingling guests. Our affordable rental packages include a trained technical director to run lights, sound and projections. This elegant space will inspire people to celebrate and enjoy your book launch, record release, film screening, benefit or family celebration. The wheelchair accessible Speyer Hall has sprung wood floors and beautiful picture windows on three sides equipped with black out curtains. There is a backstage cross over and a wheelchair accessible bathroom for performers or guests in the hall in addition to bathrooms located throughout the building. We have risers with flexible seating, 125 chairs and 10 collapsible 6 ft. folding tables. There is a PC laptop with wireless internet access. We also have a full array of sound and lighting equipment available, including microphones, speakers, a projector, a Steinway baby grand piano and more - a full list of our available equipment can be found on page 10. CAPACITY Speyer Hall only: 125 seated, 150 for mingling Speyer Hall and Adjacent Library: 200-250 guests mingling Hourly rates range from $135-$250 depending on your event s size and technical needs. We require a five-hour minimum for booking and week-long package rentals are available for performances. Speyer Hall is available to be rented on weekday evenings and any time on weekends.

GYMNASIUM AT 184 ELDRIDGE The Gymnasium at 184 is a full-sized (non-regulation) basketball court located on the top floor of our 184 Eldridge Street space. Perfect for basketball games or dance rehearsals, this space is ideal for those who require a consistent, low-cost space rental for their group. This 32 x 63 foot gym has basketball nets on either side, beautiful natural lighting - including a spectacular view of the city - and an upper deck spectator area that increases the capacity. Chairs can be provided for the upper deck area as needed. CAPACITY Gymansium: 50 people Upper deck: 50 people Hourly rates range from $100 per hour for nonprofits to $150 per hour for private individual or for-profit business use. The gymnasium is available to be rented on weekday evenings and any time on the weekends.

CLASSROOMS AT THE HOUSTON STREET CENTER We have FOUR classrooms ideal for workshops, seminars, lectures, trainings, meetings and special events. Each classroom has windows providing natural light to make for an engaging setting. Each classroom can hold 40 people and is 560 square feet. Tables and chairs are provided and arranged according to your needs. We also have double classrooms that are each 1,120 square feet and can hold 75 people. All rooms have flexible setups for chairs and tables. Additional equipment, including laptops and projectors, are available for rent as well - a full list of our equipment can be found on page 10. CAPACITY Single classroom (classroom style): 30 people Single classroom (auditorium style): 40 people Double classroom (classroom style): 60 people Double classroom (auditorium style): 74 people Hourly rates range from $57 per hour to $74 per hour for the single classrooms and $114 per hour to $148 per hour for the double classrooms. Rental slots are flexible, seven days a week.

Seminar rooms AT THE HOUSTON STREET CENTER We have five different seminar and meeting rooms that are ideal for workshops, seminars, trainings, meetings and special events. The seminar rooms are 335 square feet and hold up to 15-25 people. Tables and chairs are provided and arranged according to your needs. We also have double seminar rooms available that hold up to 35 people and are 448 square feet each. All seminar rooms - double and single - come equipped with wireless, high-speed internet; a pull-down projector screen; and mounted white board. All rooms have flexible setups for chairs and tables. Additional equipment, including laptops and projectors, are available for rent as well - a full list of our equipment can be found on page 10. CAPACITY Single seminar (classroom style): 14-20 people Single seminar (auditorium style): 18-25 people Double seminar (classroom style): 27 people Double seminar (auditorium style): 35 people Hourly rates range from $46 per hour to $60 per hour for the single seminar rooms and $57 per hour to $74 per hour for the double seminar rooms. Rental slots are flexible, seven days a week.

dance studio AT THE HOUSTON STREET CENTER Dance and exercise groups will love our dance studio. The floors are sprung wood, dance mirrors surround, and air conditioning makes it comfortable for every activity. The studio is the perfect place to rehearse, exercise, practice or teach. The space is nearly 650 square feet. The dance studio has woodsprung floors and mirrored walls, as well as access to wireless, highspeed internet. Additional equipment, including laptops and projectors, are available for rent as well - a full list of our equipment can be found on page 10. CAPACITY Dance studio capacity: 20 people Hourly rates for the dance studio range from $57 per hour to $74 per hour. Rental slots are flexible, seven days a week.

gymnasium AT THE HOUSTON STREET CENTER Our 6,400 square foot gymnasium is high school competition-sized and includes spectator seating and multiple basketball nets. This beautiful court is perfect for sporting events and practice. It can be rented in full-size or half-size. We do have an alternate gymnasium space available for those that do not require a space of this size or spectator seating at 184 Eldridge Street. The gymansium has hardwood floors, bleachers, mats, and six adjustable basketball backboards. For activities that require two spaces or a half space, a drop down curtain easily divides the room. Additional equipment, including speakers, are available for rent as well - a full list of our equipment can be found on page 10. CAPACITY Full gymnasium: 400 people Half gymnasium: 200 people Hourly rates range from $250 per hour to $325 per hour for the full gymnasium and $160 per hour to $210 per hour for the half gymnasium. Rental slots are flexible, seven days a week.

pool AT THE HOUSTON STREET CENTER Our beautiful six-lane swimming pool is collegiate competition size - 25 yards in length. Adjacent locker rooms with showers and a sauna complete the package. Rentals can be done per lane for training and swim practice or in full for parties. Rental of the competition-sized pool includes lane dividers and access to the locker room, showers, and sauna.
