Reefer Outlets Rear Actuated ESL s Rear Actuated Safety-interlocked Power Modules (Reefer Outlets) share all of the key features with the standard ESL Safety-interlocked Power Modules. As an additional safety attribute, these modules are designed with the ON/OFF actuator rod and the receptacle on opposite sides of the enclosure assembly. This allows the operator to be away from the plug and receptacle connection at the time the unit is energized. ESL offers custom-designed stainless steel enclosures to house these modules in pole, rack or pedestal style assemblies. Portable RSUs are designed with a hanger bracket for shipboard applications or with a utility handle commonly used in port terminal applications. Reefer Sharing Units ESL s Portable and Modular Reefer Sharing Units (RSUs) are specifically designed to power two frozen or deep freeze loads from one permanent outlet, essentially doubling the number of reefer containers able to plug into available power without investing in additional transformers, switchgear, underground conduits or additional power generators. Reefer Sharing Units After setting the RSU timer to the desired 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10-hour interval, the existing permanent outlet is then energized and the two frozen-load reefers are plugged into the RSU. The reefers are then alternately powered based upon the selected time interval; this will continue until stopped by an operator.
