u-traq auto is a small vehicle-powered, real-time GPS tracking device that simply plugs into the OBD II port found on the bottom edge of the dashboard of most vehicles manufactured since 1996. Installation is simple! Plug the device into the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) port on the vehicle and set up the GPS Tracking website tool to allow you and your customers access to 24/7 web services Available through your local Security Products Distributor Login to the u-traq Dealer Portal and Activate the unit Complete installation guidelines are included with the Device and are also available on the Support Tab of the u-traq Dealer Portal Activation steps are outlined in this presentation 1

u-traq autopro is a miniature vehicle powered, real-time GPS tracking device intended for professional, permanent mounting under the dash with electrical connections to the vehicle s power and ignition. Cable Harness with Fuse and Relay are included with the Device Available at your local Security Parts Distributor Complete installation guidelines are included with the Device and are also available on the Support Tab of the u-traq Dealer Portal Activation steps are outlined in this presentation 2

End-User Service Agreements All End-Users of the u-traq service must be under an End-User Service Agreement distributed by their Dealer. This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions of product and service being provided by the Alarm Dealer to all customers. Uplink has provided an example of an End-User Service Agreement under the Support tab in the u-traq Dealer Portal. 4

End-User Warranty Agreements All End-Users of the u-traq service must sign an End-User Warranty Agreement distributed by their Dealer. This Agreement outlines the warranty terms and conditions of product provided by the Alarm Dealer to all customers. Uplink has provided an example of an End-User Warranty Agreement under the Support tab in the u-traq Dealer Portal. 5

Installation of u-traq auto or autopro Device 1. Before installing your u-traq auto or autopro device, you will want to write down your IMEI # located on the front of the device. 2. Locate the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port on your vehicle. It is usually on the driver s side under the dash. 3. Remove the OBD port s cover (if attached) and insert the tracking unit with the label facing up. For fastest results, keep the door of the vehicle open until the G LED lights up, indicating a GPS connection. *This could take from four to twenty minutes. The engine does not have to be running. 4. Wait an additional five minutes, then login to the tracking website. * NOTE: Refer to the installation manual included with the u-traq autopro device. 7

u-traq Dealer Portal Login Page You will be directed to your company s u-traq Dealer Portal login page. Bookmark this page for easy access to your Dealer Portal. Enter your login credentials you provided during the signup process and the Press the Sign In button. 8

u-traq Helpful Tips Follow these steps to ensure successful Customer Setup and GPS Device Activation Install the GPS Device in the Customer s Vehicle Create a Customer Account in the Dealer Portal Activate the Device in the Dealer Portal Assign the Device to the correct Customer Provide the Customer with the login and password established during the setup process 9

u-traq Dealer Portal Overview Page From the Overview page you can: 1. Create Customers 2. Activate new GPS Devices 3. Create or edit User information 10

u-traq Dealer Portal Create New Customer Select Create New from the Customers section. 11

u-traq Dealer Portal Create New Customer Enter the Customer s name or Company name. Customer Reference field is for Dealer s use only. Enter the Customer s Address, City, State and Zip. Enter the Customer s First and Last Name. Write down the Email/Login and Password that is entered and provide it to the Customer. The password must include a minimum of six characters. Note: The Customer will be able to change their password. Admin User box must be selected to grant administrative privileges. Press Save Button. 12

u-traq Dealer Portal Verify New Customer You will be directed back to the Customer s page, with a confirmation for the successful creation of a new Customer. 13

u-traq Dealer Portal Create/Activate GPS Device Select Create New from the GPS Devices section. NOTE: You must create a Customer prior to activating new GPS units. 14

u-traq Dealer Portal Create/Activate GPS Device Follow the steps listed on this page to properly activate a GPS Device. 1. Name and/or number of the vehicle in which the GPS device is located. 2. The IMEI is located both on the GPS Device and the box in which it was stored. 3. Assign the GPS Device to the correct Customer using the drop down menu. 4. Select the correct Service Plan. 5. Make sure the Device is properly installed. 6. Press the Activate Button. 15

u-traq Dealer Portal Create Users Follow the steps listed on this page to properly create new Users. 1. Press Create New User. You can Search, View, Edit, and Delete Customer information from this page as well. 18

u-traq Dealer Portal Create Users 1. Complete all information for the new User. 2. Select the Admin User box to give Customer Administrative rights. If the User is assigned to your Dealer accounts, they will be able to create new Customers, Users and add Devices. Admin users for the end-user will only be able to create a new User for their account. 3. Select the correct Customer from the drop down menu. 4. Press Save. 19

u-traq Dealer Portal - Support Customer Support u-traq Dealers must provide all support for their Customers and Users. Dealers Customers or Users should not be referred elsewhere for support. Dealer Support u-traq Dealers must set up new Devices and Customers using the u-traq Dealer website and the online tools provided. Please train your staff to properly install, activate and provide support on all u-traq devices you sell. 23

u-traq Dealer Portal Helpful Tips We recommend that you create Customers for all Devices, including Devices for internal use. For example, you could create a Customer Dealer Ops for your service vehicles. You could create a Customer Dealer Demos for sales demo units. Users assigned to these Customers will only be able to view the Devices assigned to that Customer. Also, we suggest you DO NOT use the same email address more than once for User logins. If you ever want to assign a Device to the Dealer/Customer, the master administrative customer can get to the mapping website by logging into your dealer portal, then clicking Exit Dealer Admin" in the upper right corner of the screen. 24

u-traq Dealer Portal Helpful Tips To view the GPS Tracking website for Customers assigned to a Dealer s Master login, select Exit Dealer Admin in the upper right corner of any screen. 25

u-traq Customer Website Login Page Provide your Customers with the proper website address to login to the u-traq Customer website. This is the website address you created during the Dealer enrollment process. Instruct Customers to bookmark this page for easy access to your Customer GPS tracking website. Customers Enter their login credentials and the Press the Sign In button. 26

u-traq Customer Website Overview Page After logging in, Customers will be directed to the Overview page. From this page, Customers can view current vehicle status and location, select to locate or track vehicles, based on service plans, and navigate the GPS tracking website. 27

u-traq Customer Website History Page Select the History Button. Customers can: Change Device Name View Detail History View Service Plan Details Locate Now Track Now (Basic Plan only) NOTE: Customers will view all Devices assigned to their login permissions. 28

u-traq Customer Website Notifications Page Customer can configure Notification settings to send email messages and record history for: Zone Alerts Speed Alerts Low Battery The notification will include the location and time of the event. Once configured, notifications are sent to a maximum of three email addresses. This can include text message notifications and/or email notifications. 30
