Preparation You must create a folder structure before you can configure IIS: Set up the following folder structure (note: select a separate partition or drive from your IIS installation like D:\ if you are running on C:\) D:\FTP D:\FTP\Group01 D:\FTP\Group01\Data D:\FTP\Group01\Library D:\FTP\Group01\Report This folder structure should be set up for each Group you plan to manage in Tycoon. Once you ve created the necessary folders, proceed with the creation of the user accounts and the configuration of your IIS server.
Configuring IIS FTP Server for Tycoon Configuring MS-IIS server for Tycoon requires you to perform the following tasks: Create user accounts for Groups and Players. Set up the FTP services for IIS. Create the virtual folders in IIS. Enter the account info in Tycoon Server.

Creating Group and Player accounts You will need to create one user for every Group and every Player you wish to manage in Tycoon.
Creating Group and Player accounts In this example, we will use User name: Group01 Password: group01 This will be the Group account.
Creating Group and Player accounts Next, we will add another user User name: G1Player01 Password: g1player01 This will be the Player account. If you have more Groups or Players, you simply continue to create new user accounts until you have one account for each Group and Player.

Next, open the Control Panel and select Administrative Tools. When the window opens, click the Internet Information Server icon.
You will use the Virtual Directory Creation Wizard to create the virtual folders for Tycoon
Repeat the process for the Player account
You must run the Wizard again to create the Virtual Folder for the Player.
Configuring Tycoon Server Enter the coordinates of the FTP Server (use 127.0.0.1 if on the same PC or enter a fixed IP address). Under Server/Path Enter Group01 for the login name. Enter group01 for the password. Click Test Server Connection to test the communication with the FTP Server.
Configuring Tycoon Server Enter G1Player01 for the login name. Click Test Server Connection to test the communication with the FTP Server. Enter g1player01 for the password. Click Update to confirm.
IN CONCLUSION These instructions describe how to configure IIS to run on the sam PC as Tycoon Server. You can also install and configure IIS on a remote Server but you will need to enter the FTP Server s fixed IP address in the Tycoon Group Properties. Make sure port 21 is open on the PC running IIS.
