1 Installation procedure for Chromis REC for 3CX According to 3CX recommendations Chromis REC system should be installed on separate computer than 3CX Phone system due to necessary Microsoft SQL Server which is not advised to install together with 3CX Phone system. If you have small 3CX system and you are sure that server has enough performance you can install Chromis REC on the same server where 3CX Phone System is installed. Architecture of system: Server A: 3CX Phone system server Server B: Chromis REC for 3CX server Server requirements: Server A: according to 3CX requirements Server B: Operating system: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 2008R2, 2012, 2012 R2 Minimum 4GB RAM Network card Processor minimum Core Duo CTI Solutions installation packages: CTI Server / CTI_Server_Setup.exe / - main Chromis server component CTI Proxy / CTI_REC_proxy_setup.exe / - module for transferring files from 3cx server to Chromis server Chromis REC client / ChromisREC_Setup.exe / - client application for Chromis REC Following steps are necessary to install Chromis REC for 3CX 1. Install CTI Server part on main server (server B) 2. Install Chromis REC client on main server (server B) 3. Configure firewall on server B 4. Install CTI Proxy on 3CX server (server A) 5. Install Chromis REC client on client s computer

2 Step 1 - Installation of CTI Server on main server (server B) Prerequisites for installation:.net Framework 3.5 (including.net Framework 2.0).NET Framework 4.0 Installation procedure: Start CTI_Server_Setup.exe. At the beginning installer will check if SQL Server is installed. If not found installer will display message that SQL is missing and will start installation of preconfigured instance of SQL Server 2014 Express. If you already have SQL Server installed on Server B please verify configuration of SQL Server. Necessary settings: Enable mixed authorization (SQL and Windows) for users Check if TCP client communication is enabled If reconfiguration was necessary please restart SQL Server service and then start again CTI_Server_Setup.exe After installation of SQL Server installer will go to installation of CTI Server. Define folder for installation

3 After copying files please define installation parameters: SQL Server address define SQL Server address (leave unchanged if SQL was installed during installation of CTI Server) Database name please leave unchanged File folder folder where recording files will be stored Server part is installed

4 Step 2 - Installation of Chromis REC client on main server (server B) Please start ChromisREC_Setup.exe Define folder for installation Define database info: If SQL database was installed with default options from CTI Server installer you can leave it unchanged.

5 Client application is installed Run Chromis REC on server B On first start of a program activation window will appear: Please type license number provided by CTI Solutions (if you need demo license please send request to sales@ctisolutions.pl ) and click on Generate. Then send generated token to aktywacja@ctisolutions.pl. After receiving activation code please paste it and then click on Activate. Login window will appear. Default username with all administrative rights is admin with empty password

6 Program will start Now you have to configure (according to user manual): - Lines for capturing recordings - Users After configuring all lines and users you can start service responsible for Chromis REC. Open Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services Find service CTI Solutions Server and click on Start

7 Step 3 firewall configuration on server B You have to enable: - SQL communication - Transferring files from Server A to Server B For SQL Server communication you have to enable: - Port 1433 TCP - Port 1434 UDP - Program sqlservr.exe For transferring files from Server A to Server B you have to enable: - Port 5577 TPC

8 Step 4 Install CTI Proxy on 3CX server (server A) This is the only step to perform on Server A (this with 3CX Phone System installed) Please start CTI_REC_proxy_Setup.exe. Please define folder for installation After copying files you have to specify address of Server B (with Chromis REC Server)

9 CTI Proxy is installed Now you have to start service Open Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services Find service CTI Solutions REC Proxy and start it. This service will start transferring files to Server B (where Chromis REC server is installed)

10 Step 5 Install Chromis REC client on client s computers Now you can install Chromis REC client on client s computer using ChromisREC_Setup.exe Define folder for installation Define database info: You have to define address of SQL Server from Server B (eg \sqlexpress) and database name (by default ctisolutions )

11 Client application is installed Run Chromis REC, Login window will appear. After correct login program will start
