5 Ming Tung Principal/ partner Ming is malaysian and has lived in five countries. She studied at Rhode Island School of Design, USA before moving across the Atlantic to first intern with four well known dutch studios (including Studio Dumbar, Anthon Beeke and Total Design) and then to work at Studio Dumbar in the Hague, Netherlands for six years. Clients included Apple Computer Europe in Paris, the Rijkmuseum Amsterdam and Royal Dutch Petroleum Company/ Shell Transport and Trading Company in London. Awards include the Dutch Art Directors Club and the British D&AD. After fifteen years abroad, Ming returned to Malaysia in 1995 to establish design team with Ton. Since then, projects have taken them to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
6 Ton van Bragt (member Association of Dutch Designers BNO) Creative Director/ partner Ton has had a career spanning several countries. He was born in the Netherlands and graduated from tertiary studies in design at the St. Joost Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. Following his studies, he joined Studio Dumbar in The Hague, where over a 6 year period his work for the Studio was internationally recognised and awarded by the British D&AD, the Dutch Graphic Design Association and the New York Type Directors Club. Clients included Dutch Post and Telecom Corporation (PTT), Apple Computer Europe, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Zanders Feinpapiere Germany and Holland Festival. Following his tenure at Studio Dumbar, Ton established his own company, Van Bragt Ontwerpen in The Haque and completed postage stamps (25th weddinganniversity and other projects for the Dutch PTT. He taught design and typography at Rotterdam University. Ton s company was awarded 3 German Red Dot awards during this period. In 1995, Ton relocated to Malaysia with his partner Ming Tung and together they established design team. In 1998, Ton accepted the role of Senior Art Director at Philips Design in Hong Kong and embarked on a redesign of the vast Philips global packaging programme, comprising over 80,000 consumer electronics products. This work won a Dutch design award. In 2000, Ton returned to full time responsibilities with design team in Malaysia, while maintaining a Consulting Creative Director role for Philips Design. Complimenting his work for international private enterprise and organisations, Ton has lectured at design institutions and conferences around the world and was head of Communication Design at the Centre of Advanced Design (Cenfad) in Kuala Lumpur from 2001-2007
