2 Visie Partners In this brochure you will find information about the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) training. This is one of the courses developed by APICS, the American Institute for Operations Management. Visie Partners has been an APICS Channel Partner since 1999. Being an Channel Partner, Visie Partners has to comply with the stringent requirements that APICS imposes on those who are allowed to use this quality mark. The teachers of Visie Partners are certified teachers on higher educational and university level. They have experience both as business practitioners and as teachers in adult education. The teachers have been recognized by APICS as Master Instructors for the APICS CSCP program. In this brochure you will find information about the structure and contents of our APICS CSCP program. Prior Knowledge Required for the CSCP Program In order to be sure that the participant has sufficient prior knowledge for participating in the CSCP exam, they must meet one or more of the following criteria: Bachelor s degree or equivalent degree plus two years of relevant business experience APICS CFPIM, APICS CPIM, APICS CIRM or CPM designation plus two years of relevant business experience Five years of relevant business experience. Prior to the course, the candidates are submitted to an eligibility test in order to find out whether they meet the examination requirements.
Course Material The training material is the latest English APICS material. During the training, the last available course documents and supplementary material are used, as recommended by APICS. The course material includes: The APICS CSCP Participant Guides Visie Partners electronic learning system CSCP Slide Booklet APICS offers an online environment that allows you to monitor your progress by answering questions at different stages of the learning process. Based on your progress, reports will be drawn up showing your test scores on the different course components. You will also find a glossary of terms, which you can use in your learning process. When you register online, you will receive an access code that will remain valid for a year. This CSCP monitoring tool is part of the Visie Partners CSCP offer. 5 Course Information The APICS CSCP modules consist of 13 three-hour evening classes, or, in some cases, 6 entire days. This number of classroom hours is according to the APICS training time guidelines. During the last course meeting there will be an exam training. The course will finish with an APICS exam. In the Netherlands this exam one can register for the exam via www.apics-exam.eu. Students need an APICS identification number (ID number) to sign up for an exam. During the English exam the use of a dictionary (foreign language English) is allowed. When the exam candidate has passed the test, they will receive the Certified Supply Chain Professional certificate. This allows for using the CSCP title behind the family name. After having obtained your CSCP certificate, you will have five years to meet the requirements for keeping the certificate valid. These requirements are mentioned in the Certification Maintenance Program, which APICS will send you after certification. You must be able to demonstrate that you kept your knowledge up-to-date. People who participated actively in the training, but do not take the exams, are entitled to receive a certificate of participation. Costs of the Course The APICS CSCP course fee is 2,950,- per participant, including classes, course material and exam training. This amount is exclusive of VAT and examination fee. Credits You will have to spend approximately 5 hours outside of class studying for each evening class. In addition to that, you will also need to spend some time on exam preparation. Starting from 13 course evenings, the total study load will be between 80 and 120 hours. Study Methods Apart from the classical evening/day course via open tender, it is also possible to follow an in-company training or to opt for the e-learning version. The e-learning also includes personal contact by telephone or web conferencing. Both the incompany training and the e-learning versions are capable of customization.
