(based on PNB circular : ignore the terms/items which are not applicable) 100% CBS has already been implemented in all six RRBs. We have successfully performed year end closing activities in March 2010. Now, June quarter is approaching, and following important points are required to be kept in mind in respect of quarter closing activities: Activities to be completed On or Before : Branches to mark newly identified NPA accounts in the system. In case of any issue/problem, assistance of RRBHO IT help desk/rrb help desk New Delhi be taken. Branches to tally all Contra Heads. Generate/Download Balance Sheet and check that all related heads tally. In case of any difference, the same be tallied immediately. Interest Provision on all Term Deposits accounts including overdue Term Deposit shall be made from RRB Data Centre. Branches must check the interest provided from the Corresponding report. All the branches shall save the soft copy of such report and take a print of these reports and analyze the same. Interest for Term Deposit shall be applied from RRB Data Centre as per the following schedule :

The pre generated Interest Failure and Success Reports may also be referred. The report will list the accounts in which interest failure has taken place for one reason or the other. The branches shall ensure that no account is being reported in this report indicating that proper Interest application has taken place in all the Term deposit accounts. To ensure that correct interest provisioning is kept at the branch, the branches shall generate the following reports: RAUDIT 1 (22) FD Balances (Booked Amount Summary) & RAUDIT 1 (23) FD showing broken period interest These reports specify the scheme wise position of Interest provision vis-àvis the actual amount of provision held in the related Interest provision account. The branches are advised to generate these reports and ensure that there is no difference in the total provision calculated as per the system and the actual amount held in the Interest accrued account. In the event of any mismatch, the branches are required to adjust the excess / less provision in the Interest accrued account by transferring the amount to/from Expenditure account. In FDVAY provision for the broken period will remain outstanding in the Interest accrued account.)

RAUDIT : Sub Option: 1- Revenue Audit Reports: The list of Interest related & other reports along with purpose of the report and action point need to be taken at the branch level is given below. The branches should initiate the process of generation of these reports well in advance by 26 th June, 2010. All these reports should be thoroughly examined and wherever corrective actions are required, the same should be done immediately in order to ensure that correct interest is applied in all eligible deposit accounts in the last week of June 2010.
