Introduction: What is PaceCloud? PaceCloud Hosted Telephony Pace owns their own IP platform and delivers calls over the secure Pace data network. Pace do not re-sell packaged offerings from other providers, and are able to provide more impressive functionality and tailored solutions than an IP reseller. Pace already delivering Hosted Voice service to thousands of business end-users. Pace uses this Hosted voice for all Pace offices including the Head Office in Wrexham. PaceCloud Telephony from Pace Cloud Communications is a second generation fully hosted and managed telephony service. It provides the functionality of a high-end PBX allowing your customer s business to work more efficiently and employees to be more productive. The PaceCloud Telephony IP Platform is hosted in a secure and resilient data centre. The only equipment required at your customer s premises is a managed router, managed Pace connectivity, a choice of quality handsets, a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) switch and if required cat5 cabling. The system is modular in that it is based on the number of users (seats) providing the flexibility to easily add new users. Your customers choose how many concurrent calls they require to support their business. PaceCloud Partners: Productivity and Efficiency Tools The PaceCloud Web Portal Using the Pace Partner Portal, our Partners are empowered to self-configure and manage their customers group and personal services in real-time, thereby minimising costs for moves, adds, and changes. Administrators can configure and amend hunt groups, messaging, music on hold and many other services all at the click of a mouse. Broadband Connectivity Connectivity is becoming more and more vital for businesses to operate. Pace offers attractive commercials for Partner connectivity needs, Partners get preferred rates, especially in the Hosted Voice environment to promote Pace Cloud to their customers. Fault Management and Quality of Service Fault management Pace operates a 24x7 Service Desk operation within our Customer Services department. The Service Desk is responsible for logging calls and automatically escalating them against pre-defined Operational Level Agreements to the correct area within Pace. Partners will have access to this service via PPP (Pace Partner Portal), training is provided for the portal. Quality of Service (QoS) Pace understands that a communications service for your customer s business needs to be a proven and reliable solution. Therefore, we offer Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms with our Hosted Voice service ensuring the smoothest transition of data. When we use our office computers and the telephone, applications send data by submitting it to the operating system, to be carried across the network. Once data is submitted to the operating system, it becomes network traffic. Network QoS refers to the ability of the network to handle this traffic so it meets the service needs of certain applications. This requires fundamental traffic handling mechanisms in the network, the ability to identify traffic that is entitled to these mechanisms and the ability to control these mechanisms. The primary goal of QoS is to provide priority for voice calls including: dedicated bandwidth, controlled jitter and latency (required by some real-time and interactive traffic), and improved loss characteristics.
