Introduction to DP 2 Welcome to your guide for Delo Promotions & Programs, or DP² for short. DP² is a program created specifically for Heavy Duty Installers that contains a comprehensive set of tools that will make managing your relationship with Chevron easy and rewarding. In this manual you will find information on the specific programs and services that Chevron offers our DP² customers. Business Development Funds As a DP² customer, you may qualify for business development funds that in most cases will assist covering the cost of investments in your business (e.g. equipment, signage, building reimaging, and other promotional investments), without affecting the cost of your product. DP 2 Programs - Merchandising New Account Merchandising Allowance As a Delo Installer, you are required to properly display the Delo brand along side of your own branding. To help promote your Delo business, Chevron will provide a start-up allowance that is redeemable at the Chevron Merchandising Center. This New Account Merchandising Allowance* is to be used for interior and exterior promotional signage and marketing materials. These items can be ordered from the Signage and Merchandising Catalog. Signage and Branding Customer Service and Customer Care Product Identification Curb Appeal and Merchandising Product Promotion Specialty Items To qualify as a Delo Installer you must: Purchase a minimum of 3,000 gallons up to 7,499 gallons of qualifying product. To qualify as a Delo Builder you must: Purchase a minimum of 7,500 gallons of qualifying product. Installers must fill out a Heavy Duty Installer Start-Up Merchandising Allowance Set-Up Form to participate in the program. DP 2 Programs - Training Our training programs maximize the benefits to your organization of training by leveraging: Traditional customized training Webinars Traditional Customized Training (Note: Fees may apply) Chevron professional field trainers and product specialists are available to provide customized training for a suggested minimum audience size of 20 people. These training courses are designed to meet the needs of three distinct audiences: The Delo Let s Go Further Event! 1. Your customer groups as part of open houses or sales promotions. These sessions can be a powerful catalyst to both service bay and parts sales. 2. Your service personnel and technicians. This activity is designed to educate your service personnel on developments in rapidly changing diesel lubricant technology and specifications, as well as the correct products and applications for your customers equipment. 3. Your outside parts sales people. This provides a solid grounding in Chevron product features and customer benefits to improve parts sales results. Topics include: Industry updates such as new lubricant and coolant specifications and their impact on your operations. This is the number one request we receive, due to the rapid changes in lubricants, coolants and truck hardware. Fundamentals of lubrication lubrication properties, how to choose the proper lubricant, proper levels and oil change frequencies Oils and their additives refining process, base oils, types of additives and synthetic lubricants Greases and grease lubrication selecting the proper grease, grease compatibility, correct greasing and procedures, etc. Gear lubricants and transmission fluids types of gears, axles, transmissions and lubricant selection Coolants selection and maintenance selecting the right coolant and how to properly maintain it. This is particularly important due to thermally-stressed cooling systems in modern engines. You may use any commercial and industrial segment you choose construction, on-highway transport and industrial, for example, to build your event guest list. Work with your Chevron Sales Representative on setting up the event kit that will work best for you.
