Cycling Facts Team Enterprise is at the forefront of Elite cycling and has established itself as the most competitive cycling team. The following sums up the audience who are watching us and trying to emulate us: - There are over 1.2 million people who ride bicycles in New Zealand - 87% are between 25 55 years of age. - Only 1% of the 1.2 million are commuters, making 99% of cyclists riding in New Zealand recreational or competitive. - Personal challenge cycling (for example Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge) is New Zealand s fastest growing sport. More than 50,000 people took part in over 15 events during this summer alone.
About Team Enterprise Cycling Team Enterprise is an Auckland based management company running a semi-professional cycling team. The team was set up in early 2008 for the New Zealand summer season. After the very successful summer season, this July we are taking the team to Melbourne for s National Series. Team Owner: Kevin Algie Exec MBA, Melbourne Kevin Algie has been the CEO of the Enterprise group of companies since 1998, and has played an instrumental role in leading a variety of successful companies with his entrepreneurship and foresight. Kevin is committed to by the concept of developing a New Zealand professional cycling team. Team Manager: Courtney Black Courtney Black has ridden at the top of New Zealand cycling before a broken back caused him to channel his passion for cycling into the study of Psychology and Management at the University of Auckland. He is pursuing a career in sport management.

2009 Summer Team s Successes Future The team s fi rst goals for the 2009 season were to strongly establish the team in the New Zealand racing circuit and to achieve key victories: Tour of Nelson, Tour of Napier and Tour of Wellington. All of the team s goals were achieved: the team was strongly established in New Zealand through wins at the Tour of Nelson and the Tour of Napier and Jeremy Yates placed 5th overall at the Tour of Wellington. 2009 Winter Team Enterprise future: Team Enterprise is heading to Melbourne to compete in s national race series. The series is raced predominantly in Victoria with excursions to New South Wales, South and Tasmania. After intense competition in Team Enterprise will head back to New Zealand and compete to win New Zealand s biggest tour, the Tour of Southland. Our goal is to establish our selves as the top professianal cycling team in Australasia, as a platform to compete in Europe against the best teams in the world in the coming years.

They are great reinforcements over summer both fi nishing in the top 40 at the Under 23 worlds road race.
