Data Integratin Management uses the cmmn installer and Hyperin Cnfiguratin Utility, which standardize the installatin prcess and prvides fr seamless cnfiguratin f multiple prducts at ne time. Data Integratin Management Adapters When yu have installed and cnfigured Data Integratin Management, yu can install and cnfigure adapters that enable yu t retrieve and write data fr these Hyperin prducts: Hyperin Financial Management System 9 Release 9.2.0.3 and abve Hyperin Planning - System 9 Release 9.2.0.3 and abve Hyperin Essbase Release 7.1.6 and abve Fr adapter installatin instructins, see the Hyperin Data Integratin Management Installatin Guide. Supprted Upgrade Paths If yu are upgrading frm a previus release, nte the fllwing supprted upgrade paths: 9.2.0.3 t 9.2.1 Release 9.2.1 Prduct Name Changes The user interface in Oracle s Hyperin prducts has been rebranded fr Release 9.2.1 t incrprate a new lg, new cpyright and trademark infrmatin, and new prduct names. Prducts referred t in this Readme and in the Installatin Guide als reflect the current prduct names. Hwever, because the cre dcumentatin fr Release 9.2.1 has nt been updated, prducts are still referred t by their previus names in the dcumentatin. Installatin Prerequisites In additin t ensuring that yu have a supprted perating system, yu must meet these requirements befre yu can install Data Integratin Management: If yu have already installed Data Integratin Management, uninstall it befre yu begin a new installatin. Envirnment Settings During installatin the fllwing envirnment variables are created r mdified: JVM is included in PATH (Win32) r library path (UNIX). The DIM_HOME variable pints t the DIM installatin lcatin (Win32 nly). Cnnectivity t ne f the supprted database types must be installed. PATH/library path refers t the cnnectivity libraries directry. Knwn Issues Registratin f the Data Integratin Management Authenticatin Plug-in fr Hyperin Shared Services n HP-UX is affected by an incmpatibility between the JVM and HP s Dynamic Lader. Due t this incmpatibility, the Data Integratin Management Authenticatin Plug-in fr Hyperin Shared Services Plug-in is nt supprted n HP-UX platfrms Data Integratin Management items may remain n the Start menu even after successful uninstallatin. Yu can remve the items manually. [CR 8-528371649] Uninstaller des nt uninstall cmpnent directries prperly in silent mde n UNIX platfrms. T wrk arund this issue, stp PwerCenter Repsitry Server and PwerCenter Server manually befre uninstalling Data Integratin Management. Use the scripts in the DIM_HOME/Resurces/bin flder t stp the servers [CR 8-526663997] Cnfiguratin Utility is autmatically run in the UI mde after cnsle mde installatin f Data Integratin Management n UNIX platfrms. T wrk arund this issue, chse nt t start Cnfiguratin Utility n the last installer screen. Yu can then run Cnfiguratin Utility manually in the cnsle mde. [CR 8-529572261] When installing and cnfiguring n UNIX cmputers with nn-english lcale settings the fllwing errr maybe encuntered: FATAL ERROR during initializatin: Invalid language specified Applicatin terminated. T wrk arund this issue, change the LC_ALL variable t en_us befre launching the Installatin r Hyperin Cnfiguratin Utility n a UNIX cmputer. When cnfiguratin is cmplete, restre the riginal lcale value. [CR 8-530675397] Database cnnectin culd nt be verified in case f remte DB2 database. If the database type fr the Data Integratin Management repsitry is DB2 and this database is remte, the cnfiguratin utility cannt test the cnnectin. Unless the database name and alias are identical, the fllwing prmpt is displayed even if all the infrmatin required is crrect: 5
[CR 8-535632681] The Server cmpnent is nt prperly cnfigured if Cnfiguratin Utility is run in a terminal server sessin. When yu cnnect t a server using Terminal Services, yu use the Execute mde, and any files stred in the system flders are cpied int user lcal flder. The Data Integratin Management installer perates in Install mde and directly mdifies files in the system flder (vpd.prperties). This difference can prduce incnsistencies between the installer and Cnfiguratin Utility as t which cmpnents are installed and which are nt. Use either f these methds t wrk arund this issue: Switch Terminal Services mdes: 1. Enter this cmmand n a cmmand line: change user /install. 2. Run Cnfiguratin Utility and cnfigure Data Integratin Management nly. 3. Enter this cmmand n a cmmand line t return Terminal Services t Execute mde: change user /execute. Cpy the vpd.prperties file frm %windir% (fr example, C:\WINNT) flder t %USERPROFILE%\Windws (fr example, C:\Dcuments and Settings\admin\Windws) befre running Cnfiguratin Utility. [CR 8-536275491] On HP-UX systems, when the Hyperin Hme Migratin Utility is used t cpy Hyperin Hme cmpnents t a new lcatin, the migratin utility smetimes des nt remve cmpnents frm the ld lcatin. [CR 1-212067873] If yu are using Windws Server 2003 Service Pack 1, yur system may experience an abnrmal shutdwn.
