Fees Courses are available to all applicants. For learners that were aged 16-18 enrolling on a study programme on 31 August 2015 the tuition fee is paid by the Education Funding Agency on behalf of the learner. The exam fee for the first sitting of each exam is free. For adult learners who are 19 years of age or older as at 31 August 2015, the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) may pay all or some of the tuition fee on your behalf. Although courses are open to applications from all learners, this funding will only be provided by the SFA in relation to the level of course, age, previous achievement and economic circumstances. The funding eligibility is not determined by Bury College. If a learner is not eligible for full funding a fee will apply, this is an inclusive fee which includes tuition, examination, and registration fees for one year. On a small number of courses, there may be additional costs for residentials, materials or individual registration to the awarding body. Fees are payable upon enrolment by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. You may be able to pay by instalments. If your employer is paying your tuition fees we will accept a letter confirming this. Most learners will be eligible for government funding if they are citizens of the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for at least 3 previous years prior to the first day of learning.
