Before your Arrival Before you arrive at Move In Mane-ia Manage your Student ID You must carry your student ID with you at all times on campus you will need it when picking up textbooks and much more! Campus Card Operations will be set up at Move In Mane-ia to issue cards to those students who have not already received a card. Visit southeastern.edu/lagniappe to add Lion s Lagniappe dollars to your account for use at vending machines, laundry machines, etc. Register your vehicle If needed, submit your registration to park your vehicle on campus through LEOnet under Vehicle Registration. You must complete your $45 vehicle registration payment to pick up your parking pass. Pack your supplies for your new home A complete list of items to bring is available on our website at southeastern.edu/liveoncampus. Be sure to review regulations regarding wireless routers and television compatibility (southeastern.edu/chartertv) to make your move to campus convenient for your technology needs. Set up instructions for your tv are also available via this website. Bring a surge protector to protect your technology and painters tape if you would like to hang decorations in your room. Purchase any needed supplies from On-Campus Marketing University Housing, in conjunction with On-campus Marketing, coordinate move-in care packages, final exam care packages, and linens purchases. These kits are filled with delicious snacks and energy boosters which can be purchased by family and friends and will be delivered to your student. Order forms were mailed to your home address or you can reach OCM at 1-800-892-8741. Purchase Personal Property Insurance/ Renter s Insurance The University is not responsible for your property in case of theft or damage. Property that you bring to school may be covered by your family s homeowners insurance. Your family should check with their agent to verify. If not, purchasing renters insurance is strongly recommended. Communicate with your roommate University Housing plans to email roommate names and email addresses in early July to your university webmail account. Connect with your roommate and discuss plans for your room. A sample list of items typically discussed by roommate can be found on our roommate agreement form located here: southeastern.edu/ roommateagreement. Resident Guidebook: Review the policies and procedures for living on campus before arriving. Resident Guidebook is available at southeastern.edu/liveoncampus. Complete Fee Payment Please remember that all fees must be paid before you can check-in to your new home or pick up your rental textbooks. Payment options are : 1. Payment in Full (Log on to LEONET to pay your balance). 2. Anticipated Financial Aid adequate to cover the balance. 3. Managing your Move-In What to expect Move In Mane-ia Day We are excited to welcome you to campus! Our welcome celebration and checkin event for new students Move In Mane-ia is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the New Student Union. Resident students and their families will meet their RA, pick up their keys to their new home and participate in this one-stop shop of information and services available to our resident students for the 2015-2016 academic year. Your assigned arrival time is listed on the enclosed letter. Enjoy exclusive hours with our campus partners The departments below will hold exclusive hours for residential students to conduct business during Move In Mane-ia. Take advantage of this time. Assignments have been made based on the information you provided on your application and on the availability of rooms at the time of your priority date. Roommates were matched according to your answers on your application. Requests to change Residence Halls, rooms, or roommates will not begin until two days after the first day of school. This will give you the opportunity to get to know your roommate and the environment before deciding if you really want a change. Your RA will have information needed to request a change. Unable to attend Move In Mane-ia? You may check-in August 17 or 18 between 9AM and 3PM at the University Housing Office in Pride Hall. Students who do not claim their assignment by August 19 are considered a no-show and their space is reassigned.

Once the vehicle has been unloaded, please move the vehicle to the overflow lots to allow other students to unload. Recycle cardboard in designated areas in each hall/ area. Each facility contains spaces for aluminum, plastic and paper recycling. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Water stations noted on map. Lift items allowing your knees to do the work instead of your back. Hand-trucks and items with handles or wheels are helpful when moving. Arrive to campus before your check-in time? Box Number) HAMMOND, LA 70402 Register your Bicycle: If you choose to bring a bicycle to campus, register it with University Police in Pride Hall. Bicycle locking stations are located near each facility for your convenience.; you will need to provide your lock. Follow us and tag a photo of your new room on Twitter Settling Into Campus Life Scooters, Skateboards and other coasting devices: You are welcome to use your skateboard or other coasting device for transportation on campus.
