THE CONFIDENCE TO GO BACK TO EDUCATION When I first heard about the course I was unsure about whether I would be able to do it, but when I found out about its flexibility, I thought wow I can actually have a go at something I want to do, and fit it around my busy lifestyle. I left school when I was 1, and went straight into work, so it was a bit of a shock to go back, but the college tutors have really supported me, helping with things like referencing and personal statements. It s given me the confidence I needed to get back into education and I am now going to do my MSc Nursing with Mental Health degree at Nottingham University. A year ago I never would have dreamt of going to university, but the skills I have learnt at college have been invaluable, so it s not such a big jump anymore and I feel like I know what will be expected of me now. The Access to Nursing course is one of the best things I ve ever done! Amy Catlow, 29, of Chesterfield, Access to Nursing student As Amy explains, our Access to HE courses have been designed to fit around your life, so if you d like to be part of a friendly, stimulating and committed learning environment, with other like-minded learners, why not take a look at how we can help you towards university level study.
