The Distance Program Can t get to regular classes because you re in a remote location or have heavy work or other commitments? This option is designed for you! It is a fully supported program in which one of our Tutors will guide you step by step through the process of achieving competence in the TAA404 Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification. It runs over a 6 months, which can be accelerated depending on your own commitments. As with the classroom based program, it involves preparation and presentation of lessons and design and implementation of a formal assessment in a workplace. If you live within reach of one of our regular class locations you can present your lessons there, with one of our regular groups. Otherwise you can present them in a workplace. Upon enrolling as a distance learning student, you will receive the Distance Learning Package, at no extra charge, which includes: Step by Step Training Manual Pearson s Textbooks Assignment Templates in Word On completion of the first assignment you email it (or mail hard copy if necessary) to your Tutor who will assess it and provide feedback. This process proceeds through each of the assignments. Your Tutor is available for guidance and support via email. You need to prepare and deliver 3 training sessions plus a briefing session on a workplace assessment that you prepare and conduct. You have 6 months to submit all assignments. The course leads you through the steps of preparing and presenting 3 Lesson Plans. Options for presenting your Lessons under the Distance Learning mode include: 1. Attend a regular class and present your lessons there. 2. Present your Lesson to a group of students and arrange for someone to make a video or DVD of your lesson. It needs to clearly show the participants as well as you the student trainer. This is blended learning with integrated classroom learning supported by learning activities, assessment tasks and work-based practice between the workshop blocks. Class based programs are run regularly in, and Adelaide. Pre-requisites The TAA404 Certificate IV Training and Assessment is suitable for people who are new to training as well as those with extensive experience. Students must be over 18 years of age. This qualification requires good language, literacy and computing skills and access to a computer. Projects are undertaken as part of completing the qualification, and a workplace or practice environment is needed. Prices Distance Based Program The price for the Nationally Accredited Program of 14 units of competency is only $1,290 inclusive of all learning materials.
