Fano (LIDF) The Italian Section of the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians, is pleased to invite you at the annual Section Fly-In, that will be held in Fano (LIDF) from the 28th to the 31st of May 2010 Fano is a touristic place on the Adriatic Sea near to the international airport of Ancona Falconara Raffaello Sanzio (LIPY) and Rimini Federico Fellini (LIPR). We will have a three days turn around, discovering some of the most significant Italian places of Renaissance, such as the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, where Federico II da Montefeltro, one of the most important person of the 15th century, lived. He was a prince, a businessman and a maecenas of famous artists, too. We will visit Gradara, a small town with its castle, where Paolo and Francesca, as Dante Alighieri says in his Divina Comedia, lived their unlucky love and where they were killed by Giangiotto Malatesta. A special opening is provided for the Rotarians: we will enjoy a nice panorama from the tower, the oldest part of the castle, built in the 12 th century We will also enjoy the local food specialties and good Rotarian friendship!
