Press Release September 12, 2014 For Immediate Release 2014 BolognaFiere SH Contemporary Opens in Shanghai, China September 12, 2014, 2014 BolognaFiere Shanghai Contemporary Art Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as BolognaFiere SH Contemporary ),which is organized by Centre of Cultural Exchange and undertaken by BolognaFiere China, opens grandly at Shanghai Exhibition Center, the landmark place in downtown Shanghai. The fair will last until September 14. SH Contemporary, with the newly launched name as BolognaFiere SH Contemporary this year, covers an exhibition area of 12,078 sq. meters. The fair attracts the participation of nearly 60 galleries from 13 countries and regions,and the media cooperation with around 40 international and local media outlets. Together with the artworks exhibition, the 10 special projects and dozens of art talks and discussions during the fair will bring the exciting sections of art party to those contemporary art lovers from Shanghai, China and all around of the world. To ensure the visitors experience the fair fully, this year the fair has developed specific sections including discovering ink, special projects, galleries and country guest. The selection of works presented is a focus on China and Asia, but also at the same time is looking in showings and select ones. To engage visitors and collectors, the exhibition has invited important artists including Qin Feng and
Candida Hofer, to present on-site specific works in the special project section. The galleries will show 1300 plus artworks, including oil paintings, engraving art, ink painting, sculpture art, installation art, and etc. 75% of those galleries are from the Greater China (including Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), 15% from Asia Pacific and Middle East and 10% from Europe and America. Those works from more than 300 art masters, from China and abroad, including Zao Wou-Ki, Xia Yang, Kusama, Picasso, are really to be expected on this upcoming fair. Every year SPECIAL PROJECT is the highlight of SH Contemporary and so does this year. 10 projects 99ys Media Selections, Zhang Hao, The New Ink Painting Experiment, Qin Feng, Poetries Serie, Park & Seo-bo, Art Kids, Same Different, M97, Eyelevel Galleries with art characteristic and feature respectively, will present an unforgettable art experience.
